Status: Public Beta
Purpose: General Testing
Requirements: None

Hi, you may have recently received an email about build 128, but here on the cutting edge we have build 133 for you. Hopefully we will put it on Auto Update early next week, but for now it is just a manual download.

As this is a beta it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity where you may be adversely affected by the application failing, including the total loss of any documents.

We hope you enjoy the product, and as always, if you've got any problems installing or running up, please don't hesitate to post in this thread.

Any problems actually using this version please make a new topic in this forum and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Please feel free to leave general suggestions and comments in the Discussion Forum. Many thanks for your continued feedback.

Ah I see - no, it's just a regular update to the public beta. In fact the filename hasn't changed since the first public beta, it's always been 'affinity-publisher-customer-beta'! We'll change it next time.

Hmmm for me there have been different filenames depending where it came from ;)

(not that it would be important)

@Kevin Snider The past two versions of Publisher have installed without issue (for me). However, prior to that I have many instances where installation failed.

In each case I simply ran the installer again, and it would succeed eventually. The worst case took 5 attempts!

Also, the installer should generate a log in your Temp > AffinitySetup folder. Probably worth emailing this to Serif ( affinityqa@serif.com ) so they can take a look and diagnose the problem.

Just a small suggestion reg. Resource Manager:

- maybe LMB DoubleClick on a image item in the list could also invoke LOCATE /or RMB context menu/ ?

I mean every detail could make workflow easier&faster is GREATLY appreciated ))

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere, but I've found that every time I install I get an error that the update failed (windows 10, administrator account).  A little digging found that the "Publisher Public Beta" folder in Program Files is locked.  The folder appears to be empty and read only according to properties, although I can't open it or change it's properties so I'm not sure how reliable that is.  I've found I can install the new beta just by running the installer again and picking a new folder destination, then it works fine.  This is the second time that this has happened (I've attempted to update twice since my initial download) - strangely enough, the FIRST folder that was locked has since been removed, but now my second folder is locked (I'm now on "Publisher Public Beta 3").

So I'm wondering, is your uninstaller doing something weird with the permissions on the folder during the uninstall process?
