Ah, that is why I didn’t find it on iPad. Thanks. After following your advice on the desktop I found that typing the name here also works https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/ignore/

But, not that much time on the iPad version of Publisher - Serif Labs seems to have low prio on iPad nowadays…

iPad & Publisher, well personally I couldn't care less. - But if Apple keeps on their yearly announcement cycles, aka maybe a possible October event, or at least some new iPad Pro hardware & iPad OS update announcements this year, then Serif for sure will be aware of that and act accordingly.

No…

If we talk Publisher for iPad it could take around 10-14 month before release…

If we talking v2 on all three platform, then 2025…

In the past, it has taken Serif 6 to 12 months to produce updates of APhoto 1 differing by only one decimal number (1.6, 1.7, 1.8, etc.) In between these releases there were often several updates to each of the decimal versions. In the four years since I bought my copy of APhoto there have been 18 such updates to APhoto 1. Every update was preceded by a public beta that was tested and commented on by users over months.

I am wondering why there is now so much excitement and speculation about APhoto 2 being released "soon" given that there has been no public beta of such a product.

Do users expect APhoto 2 will be released without a public beta preceding the release?

If so, is it logical to conclude there will be major improvements and changes included in APhoto 2 as compared to APhoto 1 given that relatively small changes and bug fixes in APhoto 1 undergo months of public beta testing before release?

You mean really "update" (version 1.10 to 1.11)? No - see Beta forum, where isn't any prepared beta version.

You mean "upgrade" (version 1.x to 2.x)? Hard to say - how many months is few months for you? In the development of such a complex software as ASuite for two/three platforms, several years can be "a few months".

Even if you are in the throws of coding version 2, you still have to fix the major issues in v 1.xx…

It would be nice if that were true but unfortunately it is not at all uncommon in the software industry to not fix existing issues in one version & instead to focus on developing (& selling!) the next major release.

I am not saying Serif will not issue any more v1.x updates, only that they may not.

The same thing can be said about Publisher for iPad - still no ”public” beta and no sign of a stable version of Publisher for iPad that has Studio Link not buggy as hell…

As I said earlier, don’t expect Publisher for iPad to be released until next summer/fall…

Since iPad apps must come from the Apple app store & Apple does not permit public betas in its store, there will never be a public beta for any of the Affinity iPad apps.

This should be obvious if you consider that there never was a public beta for either AP or AD for iPad, so once again a strong indication that  @AffinityMakesMeSmile does not know what he wants us to think he knows.

Doesn't Atari have an emulator chip to enable running Mac OS 6.x 7.x? [dizzying flash-back to myself in the 80s emoticon]

My Macintosh PowerBook 180c (1993) with Mac OS 7.x had an Atari 2600 emulator.  I tend to doubt the Atari 2600 would have been able to emulate Mac OS 6 or 7.  The Atari 2600 was a video game system.

There was a Mac emulator for the Atari ST which was a computer system.  Also an MS-DOS emulator.

I don't think the ST would have needed an emulator chip.  It used the same 68000 processor that the early Macs did.
