affinity designer My first try with Affinity Designer

Hi guys, yesterday I purchased AD and this morning I decide to give it a try. Great software! After an hour and a half this is my first work. Hope you like it.

After few tutorials this is my second attempt. The little ninja character is totally rip-off from random image that I found, but I just want to feel more comfortable with Affinity Designer, which starting to become one of my favourite software.

Yesterday I was watching Fantastic Beasts 2 and there is a Kappa demon in one scene. I really love this creature and here it is my presentation of this little fella. This time without any reference

This morning I draw one of my favourite hobbies - cooking. The result is this fluffy insecure in his dish  chef. Hope everyone will have great meal today .

I decide to make short time-lapse video of my working progress this morning. Actually it's so fun to see your mistakes and all working process. Also the character  transformation is amazing

Today was a day for something new - 10 minutes character challenge. Hell yeah! It's mind-blowing how fast the time's up when you are on the clock, except you are on your regular job .
The video is at x4 speed.

I am super happy with the final result from this morning's drawing! I am getting more and more comfortable working with Affinity Designer and I am proud that I can produce great looking vectors faster each day!

This morning I decide to challenge my self and I draw the game of chess - all set. The result is satisfying, but I defiantly will try this again after my Affinity powers are stronger . Hope you like it - have a nice day.

The weekend me and my wife went to the circus. She asked me to draw a clown - and here is it! This morning I finished the piece under 40 minutes. Hope you like it - have a nice day.

Another charming illustration

Are you working from a sketch or do you just improvise the shapes as you go?

Hi Aammppaa thanks for the compliments. Only the snail is based on my pencil "sketch", most of the time I just improvise with the basic shapes. I love doodling. This morning I didn't even know what I will draw at first. Actually I started drawing a Gnome . At first I drew the basic character before starting to record just for warm up and then I decided that this guy will be way better skier than gnome and that is it. Hope you like my future works too, I'll try some new technics in the future and I'll start to animate some of my character, only the cool ones .

This morning I surprise my self. I watch some tutorials and decide to include some new elements and character poses in my work. At first I want to draw a ninja or samurai but at final there is it my panda bear masked vigilante!  This piece took  me over 70 minutes with a lot of corrections, but I am happy with final result.
