skape
I know it doesn't make a lick of difference as to your prioritization of features, but I wanted to chime in and say '+1' for this. My architecture / design firm needs to export to DWF/G frequently from other vector editors. Everyone here loves Affinity Designer, but we are waiting for this to make a jump to it Thanks for your work on this (easily the best on Windows) design tool! bowen192
Another for DXF and DWG support. And then 3D DWG. ;)
Kip
Another vote for DXF and DWG import support. Not having this is a deal breaker for me!
SKT7
It's a very important feature for me too. Is there update regarding this? Also please consider adding feature to edit curves from CAD data as I've posted here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/40732-separate-curve-from-multi-curve-layer/&p=204205 wpwpw
Moolander
Architect here, currently using AD and AP. Logos often find their way to 2D drawings and 3D models (as signs on buildings, for example). Although there are viable alternatives, DXF / DWG export is a time saver and would be much appreciated. julz
Add me as another requester for DXF/DWG import & export. Thanks!
Philip Toews
Please count me as a requester for DXF/DWG import and export as well. :-)
matthewepler
+1. I have to download Illustrator to work on a project that requires me to export DXF's from CAD software. Me no want Illustrator. Me want Affinity Designer.
CJT963
To all, Count me in.....need this tool ...... import & export for DWG or DXF or both like.....yesterday. So AFFINITY team, when do you think this will happen ? An approx. time on this would give some clarity. Ps. Still finding SERIF-PP-09 easier to use, although I do flip back from time to time to AFFINITY, just finding how to do simple stuff drags me back to PP-09. More work on the help file I guess. Is the help manual being improved at all or available in pdf ? Krustysimplex 1 Quote Over & out, CJT1963
tnuag
No point in looking at AD until it can do DWG/DXF import/export - I need it for Catia.
Maximjn
What!? No dxf & dwg export! Expected to see these features in Affinity having relied on them in drawplus. Definitely my vote for this feature, much needed. Krustysimplex
kitbshive
another request for this feature! Very much needed.
JonF
+1 for DXF import.

AquaSky
Didn't realise this wasn't supported, it's essential for me, too!
SteveDJ
+1 from me too. I've literally just joined the forums to ask the same thing wpwpw
Geraldo
Ditto for DXF export. My initial dabbling with Affinity trial have been really positive, but fell over at the DXF lack of export. It's a 'must have' if you work with those SolidWorks types. I realise it's easy to wave a Magic Wand but a little harder to write code, but it's a very popular format. So, and with some regret as a big fan of Serif DTP, I've had to install the wallet-emptying Adobe Illustrator. And only for DXF export! Real pity. furtonb
SteveDJ
Just a heads up... EPS export from AutoCAD works well. I've been experimenting with all the formats and managed to get this to work, and it retains polylines too. It's difficult to experiment because I only have AutoCAD at work, and Affinity Designer is my personal copy at home so it takes at least a day to try something out. Obviously DXF would be most welcome but I can muddle through with EPS for now and just tonight I've succeeded in shading in a logo/branding design I've cobbled together in AutoCAD in my lunch hour. MikeW
Didn't wanna read this whole thread. If I recall, InkScape exports to dxf. AD outputs svg that InkScape can read. InkScape is free unless one chooses to donate.
Npix
+ 1 for DXF please!
Homeslice
+1 DXF import/export. Really like Designer. My Illustrator CS3 finally stopped working with Mac OS updates, I realize Inkscape is option, but tedious workflow to go between multiple apps and EPS to covert to DXF
rainwilds
+1 for DWG import! Please! I bought Photo but would buy Designer just for this! Please support the current AutoCAD 2018 DWG file version. Or at least their 2013 version. Many thanks!
querious
Me too, for dxf import/export needed as an essential feature. When Designer gets dxf, I'll buy straight away and I know very many others will too!!!
Eastjack
count me in. Without DXF input and export I wont be purchasing AD
Bert
+ 1 for DXF/DWG import/export Unfortunately I still have to use Illustrator for this.
