+1 for DXF or DWG import.

Import of both formats already exists in V2, and V1 won't be updated with new functions.

Well, after first starting to ask for DXF import/export 9 years(!!!) ago, it is here as of V2.4.  They started with import, which was OK, but half the solution.   Adding export in 2.4 completed the set!

I am actually using Beta 2.5.5 and can report that DXF import/export works and works pretty well!    This has been a long time coming, but has completed the tool as far as I am concerned. I had been using a PDF import export and an external tool (PSTOEDIT) to do the conversion, but that sometimes yield unpredictable results - sometimes you had to export as EPS, sometime as PDF to get a conversion that was usable.

Having the import/export tool function native to the Affinity tool has simplified the workflow and eliminated all that conversion hooey.   Goodbye Adobe!   Thanks for FINALLY doing this, Affinity.

Welcome to the forums @Bonne Bogaert

As you can see in the post above yours, the software has had DXF import and export functionalities since V2.4.

However, they are not ‘perfect’, and they might never be as some functional areas might never be fully compatible.

All we can do is wait and see what improvements happen if/when they happen.

Note: This thread is related to the V1 software and that will probably never get any DXF functionalities because it is 'out of support' (except maybe for some major things).
