Even without touching this checkbox. Thanks! d. aleale1
Oh, great! I was looking forward to "Lock Children" command appearing in the menu, so I could assign a hotkey to it, but you did even much better!!! THANKS! Dazmondo77

If you just start the drag & then hold down the spacebar, it works fine, & you can even toggle between the two behaviors in real time by releasing & repressing it. Bit Disappointed
Thanks for this one - it's a REAL treat for those of us working with hierarchies of objects. But there doesn't seem to be a way to do this on the iPad? 😞 Sonny Sonny and ronnyb 1 1 Quote Experienced Quality Assurance Manager - I strive for excellence in complex professional illustrations through efficient workflows in modern applications, supporting me in achieving my and my colleagues' goals through the most achievable usability and contemporary, easy-to-use user interfaces. Benfischer
Very nice! Thanks Can you add a note to the effect to the status bar (where it currently says Shift to constrain to 15 degrees) so it's more discoverable?

debraspicher
I use Lock Children a lot, so this is indeed very handy. I can enjoy the benefits of Lock Children as needed without worrying too much about the state of the checkbox since I can set it to determine default behavior, which is more ideal. PeterB.
Is there any chance this bug will be fixed? Otherwise, "lock children" has very little use for me, even with the space option which is a really good idea, because I always have to deselect the object and then select it again. Otherwise the box size would no longer be correct.
