  1. btw the text descriptions of those packs should now be swapped back to be correct - thanks for reporting.
  2. Yes at the moment fonts don't stream down to the apps. You have to download the .affonts file from your account and install in each app. (File-> Import content on desktop, tap icon top left on Home Screen - import content on iPad). We will be starting a 2.1 beta fairly soon, which will have font streaming included to remove the need for manual installation.
  3. The free bundle of content promised for our customers who have upgraded from V1 to V2 is now available. For more information and how to claim please see my latest announcement here. Thanks, Ash
  4. Hi all, Yesterday marked the end of our ‘40% off V2’ launch offer. With that offer ending I wanted to let you know about a couple of things: Ongoing upgrade price for the Universal Licence As I mentioned in my previous announcement (here), offering a specific upgrade price for V1 customers had many complications and is why we decided to run a launch offer in the way we did. However, we listened to the feedback we had around that, and have used this time to implement a method to offer an upgrade price long-term — allowing customers who have not upgraded yet an opportunity to still do so at a better price than a new customer. All the issues I previously referenced around App Store conflict still exist, so the upgrade offer: Is only available for purchases of the Universal Licence (offering upgrade pricing on individual apps just is not possible without conflicting with App Store guidelines as each individual app has their own App Store listing) Is only available for purchases made directly from our website (we cannot offer this upgrade discount for people purchasing via an App Store) The ongoing upgrade offer is 25% off the Universal Licence, and also includes a free content bundle (the Creative Collection) worth over £200. To claim this discount, we will validate you own V1 based on whether you previously purchased V1 from us directly, or have registered a V1 App Store purchase to your account. This offer is available from our new upgrade page. Creative Collection content bundle now available to anyone who has already upgraded from V1 to V2 during the launch offer period If you already upgraded to V2 during the launch offer period, we also wanted to make sure you could retrospectively claim this new free content bundle. We have worked hard to make this a valuable gift, and have tried to cover various different use cases of our apps. The bundle includes some high-quality fonts, brushes, LUTs, icon assets and resources and, as mentioned above, is worth over £200. So, if you have already purchased V2 and you previously owned V1, you can claim this content for free as a special thank you for your support (in addition to the 40% discount you would have already received on your V2 purchase during the launch offer). To claim the Creative Collection, please visit our upgrade page and scroll down towards the bottom where there is a ‘CLAIM NOW’ link under ‘Already upgraded from V1 to V2? You can get the Creative Collection for free below’. After following the link, you’ll be taken through the validation step of checking your account as being someone who owned V1 and has purchased V2. The way we confirm this is by seeing a V1 purchase tied to your account, whether you purchased it directly from us or you registered an App Store purchase to your Affinity account. Claim your free content now We understand there will be some of you who did purchase V1 from an App Store but may not have ever registered it to your account (and as you probably don’t have V1 installed anymore, no longer have the ability to register it). In that case we will need to try to validate that manually with you. So, please first try getting the Creative Collection using the link above and if that fails, drop us an email with your Affinity ID to affinity@serif.com (subject: “Free Content”) and we will do our best to help. If it’s possible for you to dig out your original App Store receipt for your V1 purchase, it will speed up the process if you include that in your email to us. Other than that, thanks again for all your continued support. We hope you enjoy your gift! Thanks, Ash
  5. Yeah it was something we had a fair amount of feedback on - that switching to node would be best after a convert to curves (as well as various other logic we have implemented around the node tool). We could give some thought as to whether a preference might make sense. Worth saying that hitting cmd-return and then V doesn't seem too terrible to quickly convert something to curves and go back to move tool, with a bit of muscle memory is pretty quick? Also to say it if you are not using short cuts then after a convert to curves double clicking outside of the object you've just converted (assuming on the background or something) should also put you back to move tool.
  6. Hopefully you noticed that in our 2.0.3 update we added shift constrain when moving nodes in the warp tool. We will be adding other snapping options to warp nodes in the future.
  7. Have you tried using the new (in V2) X-Ray mode of wireframe view? That shows all objects as slightly transparent (including image / pixel layers)
  8. This should now be fixed in the latest update which we pushed last night (2.0.3) - you can get that from the App Store now...
  9. 2.0.3 iPad betas now available here (Photo coming soon) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/62-ipad-beta-forums/ Trash can is back command controller toggle has been demoted to burger menu.
  10. It should just always remember your last state - we’ll sort it!
  11. You can toggle the command controller on and off using the icon highlighted with the red box as shown here.
  12. We could look at adding rename layer as a misc. shortcut available to set if anyone wants to. Should say too on Windows in V2 we added the ability after changing a layer name that tab would automatically take you to the next layer to rename which certainly helps massively when renaming a lot of layers. For some reason that didn't get added to macOS which we will get sorted!
  13. Yes that's a good point - I think actually we should look at making a change so that if you have a single object / image on your clipboard then paste inside / paste with insertion target being inside does place that object within a picture frame if that is what you have selected. i.e. the same as drag drop in layers panel - if you have one object selected and you drop inside a picture frame it places that within the frame. If you have multiple objects to drag into frame then it clips as normal. Understand the modifier comment and it's a good idea. Most modifiers are used up when you are moving something so have to avoid conflicts here...
  14. Just to say, that method imports the PDF (so it will be editable), which in many cases is what you want. However the new place auto-flow feature was originally implemented because of the request many people had to place a multi-page PDF. Using this route each page of the PDF is added as a place file - meaning they could all be set to passthrough for example. This is a better method if you do not need to edit your PDF. Lets say you had an A4 PDF with 100 pages. The way to do this is would be to add an A4 page to your Publisher document, create a picture frame the size of the entire page, then go to file-place and choose the PDF you want (without the picture frame selected). This will bring up the place panel. This allows you to choose which page you want to place, but also above the file thumbnail there is a > which allows you to expand to see all pages. Do that then hit cmd-a (or shift select first and last page to select all the pages you want to place) and then hit the picture frame. Publisher will then add all the additional pages to your document automatically and place each page of the PDF file separately on those pages.
  15. It does require a double tap from the fields panel yes. However you may also want to use the shortcuts available from the keyboard - tap the top left icon and you get quick access to special characters, fields, etc.
  16. Yeah sorry I was saying perhaps we could sort it so it is just it's own slider. Firstly so it's not hidden under width and secondly so it could toggle between the two. Rope is far better for accurately drawing smooth curves, particularly when you want sharp edges because you can pause, let the rope dangle when you change course. Window is better for free flowing drawing...
  17. I think I'd agree with that, perhaps we should just show the stabilisation slider at all times for relevant tools. Hitting the icon under the slider could toggle between Window and rope, but overall if you push it to 0 then stabilisation is effectively off. I don't think the length setting ever needs to be super accurate, so perhaps could be a shorter slider and no need to display value / manually enter it. We could look at it taking up a lot less space in that case so it can sit on its own while still having the other sliders available. Be nice to get rid of the stabiliser option in the context bar for sure.
  18. Let me confirm, there will not be any additional discount for Black Friday - it so happens that our launch offer will continue over it, but we will remain at 40% off until 14th December.
  19. We think we've got a fix for this It might not make the first patch (in a week or two) but will be in the next update after that.
  20. Thanks, we'll think about that. in meantime (and might not help but thought I'd mention) you could explore setting up a master layer as a symbol which is on each of your artboards (only really works this when all artboards are same size). Then any common elements you want on each of your artboard could be placed on that layer and they are always sync'd between them. Elements on other layers can be kept unique to that artboard. 21. Hi - for "Show Special Character" are you asking for something different than you can turn on via the text menu? Text -> Show Special Characters? Glyph browser - the burger menu available in the top right hand corner of the panel has some options to adjust the size of the glyphs being shown in the panel. Typography dialog vs panel. Fair point, we'll have a look at that.
  22. Actually holding shift does constrain to whole pixels. Guess could argue it should be the other way round, so nudge buy whole pixels default behaviour and shift accelerates to be % based.
