Publisher's Splash Screen

Recommended Posts

I must say I am not a fan of the new splash screens (photo and designer included). They look outdated.
Newspapers and Magazins I find too literal (I don't know if this is the right term for what I want to describe). Also in a time of digitalization I find something abstract more fitting.

But since all this is a subjectiv opinion, I can live with this.

Personally, I wish there would be somekind of competition for all the splashscreens. For community reasons.

Nice designs.

For me though the big problem with the Affinity Publisher version (I don't use the others) is that the writing is too small and impossible for me to read unless I turn up the brightness and lean forward and try hard.

In my opinion, it would be worth a try to change the word AFFINITY and all of the wording that is below the word Publisher, (but not the word Publisher itself) from being displayed grey to being displayed in the same orange colour that is used in the square logo for Affinity Publisher.

Maybe Affinity Designer could have its similar wording in the pale blue colour of its logo, and Affinity Photo could have its similar wording in the light lilac colour of its logo.

I like the screen.  I REALLY liked the girl on Aphoto when they had that up.

I am sure most would rather Affinity spend their valuable time fixing code and adding new features than trying to appease everyone on the aesthetics of a single splash page.  ;)

Why? It is 3D modeling tool? Or fluid screen saver?

I am not pleased for the out ouf context quote of mine. I said it was okay for me since it is subjective.

We had people who said that the iPad photo start screen was too risque and they would stop using the software unless we removed it or replaced it with something less obscene.... I assume they stopped using it

I remember there were similar complaints about the woman’s face that used to appear on the desktop Photo start screen.

Too bad *sigh.  But I meant this one. I shoot models all the time.  She was amazing.

We had complains about her too. It was hard to know what to say as they were coming to life from such a different perspective not to be able to get over a picture of a person.

What is wrong with these people? Disgusting: Welcome to a world where everyone has to be appeased.

I have a hard time believing that someone who would complain about a picture like that would be interested in photo software to begin with.
