Sorry for the delayed reply. We are aware of this issue. What you see is caused by convert to curves not recursively looking inside groups.

No my test was simple as yours, but this problem is not there anymore. But I do know that there were versions in the past, where typing was slowed down due to an open panel. Can't recall it anymore. 2.0.3 retail behaves good, so this might be fixed.
EDIT: To show what I mean, I added a video to describe what is happening with many panels open and with all panels closed. For the video I was hammering the keys very fast, unfortunately the video capture gives you only a slight impression of how typing is slowed down.

If you are trying to paint within that vector layer (that is, you have a pixel layer nested within the vector), then I think this is a known bug from V1 that remains unfixed.

This is a V1 thread. V1 will allow you to create presets for the Tone Mapping persona which can be used on other images
In V2 the ability to create presets is missing, which is a bug and will be fixed in a later patch/update
(Windows)
