Upon reopening the document and trying the same process again, it just keeps crashing repeatedly... Anyone having the same issue or found a workaround to stop this happening? Cheers. Quote

MadHugger Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Ver. 2 on Windows 10: Crashed upon opening the first time after install. Crashes attempting to create a new file. Crashes when opening a very small simple file with 1 layer with 1 color box within it. Crashes trying to add another layer. Crashes upon trying to save the 1 layer file. It has also crashed during loading. I have reset, repaired and run as administrator as well as every other piece of advice given for this issue in the past. Ver. 1 crashed a lot too, but not as rapidly and often. So I would say Ver 2 is 100% faster at crashing than previous version. I tired of reporting this issue as every single time I was given generic base level instructions that do nothing and when I have followed all advice given, it still happens. When there are videos, numerous social media comments and countless articles about this issue with all Affinity graphic software it is obviously a bigger issue than they wish to discus. Quote

I have always found the products be very stable (Mac versions) but the latest version of Publisher is driving me mad with constant crashes (usually when working with documents that use linked files). Unfortunately I removed earlier versions of the programs to avoid any conflicts, so have no option of reverting. ☹️ Quote

If you purchased V1 directly from Affinity, you can log in to your Affinity Store account and download the V1 apps. V1 and V2 can be installed on the same computer… they don’t share any files. I’m not familiar with how things work if the apps are purchased from the Apple or Windows stores, so not sure how/if V1 can be downloaded if purchased from those stores. That’s how I figured it should work, but there have been several reports from V1 users that V1 is no longer available in the Apple and Microsoft stores.
