If anyone had asked me short time ago what would I go for if ditching Photoshop for digital painting, my normal answer would have been "Affinity Photo". But then one day I found myself painting in Designer's pixel persona and loving it too! I'm faster every time and understand a bit better the brushes, which for whatever the reason have always been a bit of a hard to handle and tame subject matter for me in Serif products.
I am currently researching on different species for better and more effective workflows when it comes to science communication and illustration. This is an attempt to improve painting fur... More to come!

UPDATE ON RESEARCH>  
So, now I am trying to replicate this craziness with the so called vector brushes in the Designer persona. I reckon the guy on the left needs a comb! hahaaha!!
Anyways.. one step at a time, I'll get him one. The one on the right is for comparing both versions side by side.

Your first post. Rude and ignorant. Have some respect. I and many thousands of users have and DO use AP now 1.8 with NO issues.
I suggest you tone down and ask for assistance not demand like a spoilt child.
 

Below is my list of written tutorials I have done over the years. The first few were done using early versions of Affinity programs but they should still be ok. Some menus may have changed or tools look different but the basics are the same.
Also most are for Affinity Photo, but some could be done in Designer. Plus the "Beginners Look at Affinity Photo" ones will pretty much be the same in Affinity Designer and Publisher as all 3 programs have same basic functions.

Activ8 issue 7 -Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher – A look at Styles
This written tutorial, mainly aimed at beginners of any of the Affinity Software made for PC and Mac. It may work the same on iPad version but I don’t own one so can’t confirm that it will.
It looks at what Styles are, how to make some Gradient Styles and some Styles made from images. Then how to Export and Import your newly made Styles.
After that I do a basic overview of a couple of video tutorials I have made in the past. Using the Mirror Filter and the Equation filter to make new images, to then make Styles from.
Lastly, another overview of a recent video tutorial, which looks at using the Vector Crop Tool in Affinity Designer to grab sections of an image to then make Styles from.
The end of this PDF tutorial has interactive links to all the video tutorials and links to the downloads of all the Styles I have made in these video and written tutorials.

You were warned against this behaviour in a previous thread where you asked the same questions. As such I'm locking this thread. As has been mentioned before, the best way to remove the word "Shutterstock" from the images is to purchase a licence for the images.

It doesn't work that way. Each lighting filter you add will dim the photo more. Why are you trying using two live filters instead of one with two lights? Any use case for that?
[EDIT] Actually you can control/null the "dimming" effect, setting the Ambient light slider to 100%. Then use multiple lighting filters as you intended.[/EDIT]

Hi, I think this should not happen.
If you have a small brush size to paint your overlay mask in raw development, you get splotchy results instead of a clean line.
BTW feature request: I also miss adjustment for feathering and opacity.

Stellen Sie den Radius auf 4 px
Aktiviere die Ebene Hohe Frequenz
Mit dem Auswahlpinsel einen Bereich auswählen der bearbeiten werden soll
Deaktiviere die Ebene  Hohe Frequenz
Mit dem Malpinsel aus der nähe des zu bearbeitenden Bereich Farbe auf nehmen (Shortcut ALT + linke Maustaste)
übermale den ausgewählten Bereich (die Deckkraft nach bedarf setzen)
wiederhole dieses für andere Bereiche.
Das Bild ist mit der aktuellen Beta bearbeitet.

to minimize the reflection is my favorite the frequency separation.

short description:
Duplicate the opened image
Apply the Filter Frequency-Separation
set the radius to 4 px
Activate the Layer High Frequency
with the selections brush to select an area to be edited
deselect the layer High Frequency and select the Low Frequency
Use the paintbrush to pick up paint from near the area to be worked on (shortcut ALT and left mouse button)
paint over the selected area
set the blend mode in hue or color (set the opacity as needed)
repeat this for other areas
 
The image is edited with the current beta.

I think it's not a bug.
The ratio of the image is 3,0026 : 2
Hence it results 5100 / 3,0026 * 2 = 3397,1
the decimal places are rounded to 0.1
Affinity would save the image to 5100 x 3398 px
Maybe can Serif  comment that .

the Color-Replacement-Brush, has a very bad pervonanze and is therefore useless.
see clip below.
furthermore isin the Develop Persona the Overlay Eraser Tool is faulty,
already reported some time ago.
(the same applies Tone-Mapping-Persona, similar behavior as in Devolop Persona)
I do not know how the bug fixing is prioritized, but I do not give up hope that the bugs will be fixes soon.
(same bugs in the customer version)

In small dimensions 1500x1000 i have no slow effect. In 5000x3500 - it a bit appearing. 7500x5000 - significantly drop in speed. BUT in not simple depends on dimension - but on the brush size. As with greater dimensions i adjust the brush size also. I feel slow at 1000 px appr.

Add white shape above image, Screen, with extreme gaussian blur (r=1000). Gives discoloured lines as below. It's not rendering (export to jpg shows it too). Experimenting shows lines appear when blur radius gets to about 500px. .afphoto file is 484mb. I can upload to somewhere if you like.
