saraheagle Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Hello - I'm still getting used to Affinity, but I think I'm over the hump and it's great - setting up keyboard shortcuts up like crazy! Is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut for "Lock children"? I can only find it in the context(?) menu. Thanks Henric, thedivclass and ptr vck 2 1 Quote
Dan C Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Hi saraheagle Unfortunately there's no shortcut option currently for Lock Children. I'll move this thread to Feature Requests for our devs to consider adding in a future update! Quote
Rocketdrive Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Maybe we can agree that anythig should be assignable to a shortcut? I'd like to map brush presets, toggles (like protect alpha) or other paint/illustration related toggles and brush tweaks to keyboard shortcuts. Wosven and Glicky 2 Quote
Satta Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I second this feature request … Lock Children NEEDS a shortcut, I use it all the time and would like to switch quickly! ptr vck, GRAFKOM and Henric 2 1 Quote
garudha Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Me too - and I'd second the idea that there should ideally be a powerful keyboard shortcut editor where all commands are shown and can be assigned shortcuts as desired. Quote
ptr vck Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I would also love to see this option available. Right now it is probably the only action that I often use several times per minute that requires me to select it by mouse. Henric 1 Quote
den4ik Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 And on/off "Transform Mode" please affinityfan and fde101 2 Quote
Aammppaa Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 No. Still many actions for which no shortcut can be assigned. Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
loukash Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 On Mac, as long as the Lock Children checkbox is visible on the toolbar, it can be toggled via UI scripting. And UI scripts can be triggered by a keyboard shortcut, either via Automator Services plugins, or via 3rd party macro apps like Keyboard Maestro. For more details see For v2, replace "Affinity Designer" with "Affinity Designer 2" in the AppleScript code. It's really valuable in serious workflows. Quote I simply no longer believe that there are any professional graphic designers here. Everything follows suit. Just everything.
