henryg Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 This beta looks to have been "cooking" for a long time. Is there any liklihood of a release version in the near/ish future? The stated file incompatibility is a major issue. Chris B 1
walt.farrell Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) Serif generally won't say when the release will occur. I will mentiont that they are still implementing new functions (e.g., the New file dialog is quite recent on Windows, and support for Photoshop Smart Objects was just made available), as well as fixes for problems. And they just released the first beta for Photo on iPad (none yet for Designer on iPad). So I would expect it's still going to be awhile (1-2 months?), but that's just a guess. And sometimes they have surprised me Edited February 19, 2020 by walt.farrell Discovered that the PSD smart object support is also in Windows. Frozen Death Knight Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Personally I am more interested in news about features and bug fixes in individual patches rather than an official release date. Historically the Betas have been fairly stable on my end, so I've been using them over the official release more often than not. : ) PaulAffinity and IPv6 2
