    Memory Leak with Batch conversion?

Can you try disabling Parallel Processing to see if that makes a difference?

    Beta update failed

And on a third thread, you mentioned it worked after a reboot?

  5. I'm on 1903, and not experiencing the issue you describe. Have you checked whether you're running any third party software which can cause problems?

    Affinity Photo Memory Crashing

I assume you mean 3384MB, from your screenshot (3384GB would be pretty ridiculous). 3384MB amount of memory usage is pretty small to be honest, and using memory (or CPU) isn't a problem - the aim is to utilise as much of your computer as possible (i.e. if you bought a machine with 64GB of RAM, you wouldn't be happy if we only used 2GB of RAM during normal operations). If you aren't happy with the amount of RAM the app uses, you can limit it in Preferences, but note that this can have a negative impact on performance.
  8. You're right about the `LibRAW` issue, I investigated this a few weeks ago, following one of your previous forum posts, and according to `LibRAW`, your images are colour images.
  9. Good, I'm glad it's working again for you! There isn't anything for us to fix - it's Duet Display that is caused the problem, and I believe it has now been fixed (by them) in later versions (in case you ever need to install it again).
  10. Do you have Duet Display installed? Or any other software on this list:

    Affinity Photo Memory Crashing

@Puddy Tat, I'm glad your problem seems to be solved, but I will just say that looking at Task Manager and the memory usage in between document loads isn't a reliable indicator of memory issues with our apps. If you start the application, look at the memory usage, then load a document, zoom in and pan around, then close the document, you might expect the memory usage to drop back to where it was when the application first loaded - but this isn't the case (and is the expected behaviour, since 1.7).
  12. What's the point of your post? Quoting another user from over a month ago just to criticise us? I assume you've read my post above, so you know that we've brought the setting back in the latest betas.

    Frequent freezing in Designer

I suggest you make a new thread detailing the issues you're experiencing, as we believe the original issues being discussed in this thread have been resolved (this thread is from 2017).
  14. Thanks @ashf. Tagging @Pauls.

    Image goes all dark

For the document, or for the monitor?
  16. Mark Ingram

    Image goes all dark

Bit hard to guess without a fuller description of the problem (screenshots or a video) but perhaps it's caused by ICC profiles?
  17. How many fonts do you have installed?
  18. Mark Ingram

    Crop problem still not fixed!

It is a bug - it should fit those crops to the size of the image

    BETA ETA (Windows Icon)

You might need to restart or clear Windows' icon cache.

    beta download source changed?

We certainly could do, though I think the solution longer term will be using CloudFront as well as S3, then it should be fast for everyone (in the same way that the store works).
  21. I thought we'd prevented macro recording of Develop in the latest beta, we might need to revisit that.

    BETA ETA (Windows Icon)

Hah. Yes, we didn't consider that. Thanks @Max N
  23. The rendering of the document is performed in software (on CPU), which is what you're seeing when you zoom in. The GPU is only used for presenting the final document to the screen.
  24. In the first example you have several live filters stacked up, so every brush stroke you perform must apply those live filters before rendering. In the second example you've rasterised everything, so you have no more live filters, so it's a lot less computationally expensive.
