HI @X-Raym Thanks for the report.
I've moved the thread to the bug section and I've logged it with our translation team.

X-Raym got a reaction from Bound by Beans in FR: White balance Adjustement Layer color picker should average a pixel area
@carl123 oh ok, it is easy to mix cause it doesn't refresh to White Balance pannel infos, even when it is in focused and in used.
In following exemple, it still displays layers transformation info despite white balance opened, and white layer selected

X-Raym got a reaction from Bound by Beans in FR: White balance Adjustement Layer color picker should average a pixel area
@carl123 Oh wow, I would never have found this from the UI! There is no feedback about this, like path of the mouse.
Though, the click and drag method doesn't seems to works as adviced by the manual, as you can see by this rapid color flashes, indicating no averages:
The Alt + Drag for area is good though, many thanks. Here is demo, as it is not shown in the doc(https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Adjustments/adjustment_whiteBalance.html&title=White Balance adjustment):

X-Raym got a reaction from Torstein in FR: White balance Adjustement Layer color picker should average a pixel area
Hi,
Currently, the white balance color picker in the associated adjustement layer works per pixel.
This doesn't work great if the white reference area in the picture has a texture, like a scanned paper.
It would be nice if we could define an area size in which pixels colors is average
Workaround is to do white balance on blurred version of the image.
Thanks!

X-Raym got a reaction from Rudolphus in FR: Affinity Photo - Open Adjustement Layers on their Last Edited Pages/Tab/Setting
Hi,
Affinity Photo win 10x64 v2.6.2
Currently when we open an adjustement layer, it goes back to its default original view. For eg, for color adjustement layer, it will be the red channel.
This means than several clicks are necessary if you want just want to adjust something which isn't on defaut page/tab, but you need to close the adjustement layer window. This happen when you need to check something on another opened document for eg.
Here is a demo:
Screenshot:
Expected behavior: If I adjust the white setting on this adjustement layer, if I reopen its window, it should open on white (not on red). This logic would apply to all settings / adjustement layers.
Thanks !

X-Raym reacted to Murfee in Using Curves or Levels on Masks
Hi, this is already possible. You need to drag your curves layer over the mask, change where it says master to alpha on the curves layer. You can also use the in built curves adjustment mask to control things further.

X-Raym got a reaction from lepr in FR: Hue VS Hue (or Saturation or Brightness) Curves for Affinity Photo
This feature is also available in the free Krita
and the free RawTherapee
On Affinity Photo, the closest thing is TSL wheel which have some extra color selection
But they are a limited number of it, it is not adjustable like a curve with no overlapping section, compared to this system.
Really miss this feature in Affinity Photo, it is good to quickly color correct a scanner for eg.
Thanks !

X-Raym got a reaction from lepr in FR: Hue VS Hue (or Saturation or Brightness) Curves for Affinity Photo
Hi,
In some image software, they are a nice Hue VS Hue curve, which allows to shift hues to other hues nicely, without touching saturation and intensity.
Here in DaVinci Resolve:
But Also In Vegas Pro:
https://help.magix-hub.com/video/vegas/22/en/content/topics/8-design/colorgrading_hslcurves_hh.htm?TocPath=Working with VEGAS Pro|Video Design and Optimization|Color Grading|HSL Curves|_____1
and Dark Tables
https://docs.darktable.org/usermanual/4.8/en/module-reference/processing-modules/color-zones/
This would be very nice to Have in Affinity Photo cause it is a great tool for color correction and adjustements, and also an easy way calibrate scanners, cameras, when we dont have ref / IRC profile and things like that.
In extensio, every Hue VS Brighntess VS Sat curves combinations would be awesome. Sat VS brighteness is especially cool.
Thanks !

X-Raym got a reaction from Alfred in Node Tool, Click+RightMouse is mechanically difficult
@Alfred Customability is key 😉 We all have different hardwares, postures, sensibilities etc.
We for sure need the features associated to this modifiers in a way or another (and if possible, in multiple customizable ways)

X-Raym reacted to walt.farrell in Affinity Designer - Auto arrange layers into a nice grid
This is not a feature request, though. It is a Question, and a +1 here serves no purpose.
It would be better to post in the Feedback forum, or add your +1 to a topic there.

X-Raym got a reaction from Ghost4Man in FR: Compress or Expand selected objects positions (Transform tool Mode)
Hi !
This thread is a follow-up of the discussion we had on another thread, to summarize and clarify the ideas: Q: Compress or Expand selected objects positions ?
Context
I was looking for a way to compress or expand selected items positions with Transform Tool on a multi objects selection transform area, but I didn't find one.
It would in fact behave exactly like the Transform tool when changing scale, but instead of changing scale and anchor points positions, it would only change anchor points positions (so in the end, it will scale items apart/closer from/to each others).
This would allow to compress / expand spaces between objects, around the Transform area anchor points, which can be extremely efficient to make objects closer or farther together without having to modify their positions individually. The more objects are involved, the more useful and necessary this feature get. It prevent lots of clicking and dragging which would be extremely useful for accessibility as well.
The FR could be resolved as a custom modifier keyboard shortcut (CTRL + ALT or something) with Transform Tool, or a dedicated Transform Tool mode switch on the toolbar (like a "preserve scale" button).
Demo
Here is a demo (see how shapes are now close together - dark red - but scale didn't changed. Only anchor point positions):
Workaround
Here is the current workaround for that It works but it is not very satisfactory as it is quite slow and require copy pasting etc.
select items note one object width as ref, scale with transformation tool, then set transformation to object independently, enter the initial value in width Here is a demo video of this:

Thank you for considering this request, it would be awesome ! Bringing object closer/farther together is I guess a common task in everyone projects
Cheers !

X-Raym got a reaction from Sempervivum in Shortcut for executing a macro
+1 for this
In 2010 I wrote an article for Envato about using Macros to quickly colorize comic strip using Macros with keyboard shortcut in Photoshop
https://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/quick-tip-colorize-a-comic-strip-with-photoshop--psd-9100
It's unfortunate that this can't be replicate in Affinity, because of the lack of assignable keyboard shortcut to Macros.

X-Raym got a reaction from horanyia in Center locked cropping
Oh yes we definitely a mouse modifier for adjust cropping area from center, symmetrically.
Here how it works in other softwares (Photoshop, but not the only one):
Very handy to handle symmetrical images (also photo for sure)
Thanks for your consideration!

X-Raym got a reaction from SrPx in "Use Precise Clipping"
For those who are curious about what this does, here is a before after:
Before
After
It should be on by default IMHO (if it is not already) to avoid surprise and searching. Users can still tweak performance on their own if they have problems.
Glad to have found a solution, anyway

X-Raym reacted to Simone Nobili in Search layer by name
For illustrators and those with dozens of levels per document: I think it would be awesome (aka it would save heaps of worktime) if we could search through levels by the name WE gave them.

X-Raym reacted to Kal in slice tool snap to grid?
Okay, I understand now. You didn't mention the slice tool in your first comment, and it sounded like you were talking about snapping guide lines to the grid. I guess we just hit a language barrier.
Yes, you're right, slices don't snap to guides. Earlier in the thread, Meb confirmed that 'slices only snap to the Pixel grid'. I think everyone who has tried the slice tool would agree—you just expect this kind of basic snapping behaviour from such a tool. Affinity, in my experience, is not quick to respond to user feedback. As you can see, this was posted almost 6 years ago, and nothing has changed.
