    Hi
now i have all my pens, assets, etc installed, what is the best way to back them up so in the event of disaster, i don't have to go through the process all over again. I do wish there was better brush management by the way!
    cheers…

I have several of his courses, well presented and full of useful information in an easy to follow manner. At least one of the courses comes with full pdf notes so saves a lot of work in that respect.

tonyt got a reaction from Eddy-2 in Split the forum to app related???
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE split the forum into separate sections for each app. I only use APhoto and have to trawl through reams of posts relating to the other apps to find posts relating to AP. I know the argument is there are lots of similarities between the apps, but after the latest updates there is so much stuff about subjects and functions that simply have no relevance to me. I also use other firms apps where they have several different apps and they are split neatly into app specific sections, so it can’t be hard to do and would make life SO much easier to browse questions relating to AP. I just want to keep up to date and see what other folk are doing, using and problems and solutions to AP related matters.
    Thanks...

    Hi tonyt,
Draw a selection rectangular marquee around it, copy/paste to place it on a new layer then go to Filters ▸ Colours ▸ Erase White Paper. You should end up with a clean line.

tonyt reacted to MEB in Creating a Signature
The Pen Tool is also available in Affinity Photo so you can still recreate it with vectors. If you want to have it as an image (raster), you can also remove the white background and keep just the signature. Just draw a rectangular selection marquee around it, copy/paste (it will be placed in a new layer), then go to Filers ▸ Colours ▸ Erase White Paper to remove the white of the background. You should end up with a clean signature over a transparent background which you can place over your images.

tonyt reacted to Callum in AP best ways to adjust sky only
    Hi Tonyt,

The best way to make sure you apply Adjustments to the sky is to Select the sky using one of our Selection tools before you apply any adjustments. Then apply the adjustments you wanted ,they will only be applied to the area within your selection. You can see an easy way to select the sky here.

    Hi tonyt,
There's improvements planned for the Media Browser (check our roadmaps) but i don't know yet the extension of those changes.
It will include user defined categories to store your objects so i believe we will be able to see/preview them inside the Media Browser.

    Hi tonyt,

Your cut-outs are on a pixel layer. I would suggest to use a vector layer for this purpose:
Create a rectangle (vector shape) of the size of your document with the Rectangle Tool [U], and place similar rectangles for your cutouts above the base rectangle. Then subtract the cutouts from your rectangle non-destructively, by selecting all objects (base layer and cut-outs) and Alt + clicking on the Subtract button. This will create a Boolean compound. Now you can edit the shapes afterwards, as long as you don’t rasterise your compound. I created a sample document for you …
    Cheers, Alex  :)
