billtils Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 That was the slowest download I can recall - must have been a lot of people located in Europe, Asia and Australasia waiting for this ... Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.
danberlyoung Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 It's coming off an Amazon S3 service so you wouldn't' think traffic would be a real issue.

Jonas14 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Entschuldigung, ich finde nichts zu den GPS Angaben? Und was ist mit tethering, vielleicht nicht sofort? www.donath-photographie.eu
A_B_C Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Congratulations, glad to hear that Photo will hit the app store soon … :) (As you will know, there are still some inconveniences on OS X Lion in the present version, the worst being the image going black when the marquee is used, but I am sure these will get sorted out in later updates … and perhaps I will leave the zoo soon … and head for the national park … ;))
billtils Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 A_B_C You can always download a "national park" version to a partition or external drive and see what you think. I went to 10.10.4 today and all is well. A_B_C 1 Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.
MikeFromMesa Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Yeah! GPS data in the exported jpgs!! :D Thank you all. I am good to go as soon as it hits the App Store. There was nothing in the release notes about plugin functionality, but I assume that is coming soon.
Jonas14 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Sorry, I can not find anything about the GPS information in AP? Where can I find the „panel place/location”? www.donath-photographie.eu
Staff TonyB Posted July 2, 2015 Staff Posted July 2, 2015 Sorry, I can not find anything about the GPS information in AP? Where can I find the „panel place/location”? Maps and GPS information are available in the Develop persona. We use Apple Maps for this functionality so unfortunately is only available in the Mac App Store release.
Jonas14 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Hi Top Cat, with me no GPS Info in the Develop Persona exist. And how install a Mac App Store release (I use Yosemite 1010.4) of AP, Apple Maps? In preview everything is available. best regards www.donath-photographie.eu
Staff TonyB Posted July 2, 2015 Staff Posted July 2, 2015 Affinity Photo isn't available in the App Store yet. It will be soon and then you will be able to use the Maps feature in Develop.
Jonas14 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 thank you for the information Top Cat! www.donath-photographie.eu
MikeFromMesa Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Sorry, I can not find anything about the GPS information in AP? Where can I find the „panel place/location”? I had been reporting output exif problems, including the lack of gps information, when using the export functionality of APB and the developers finally seem to have solved and fixed the problems. My use Houdah to insert gps information into the images and then have been checking both the exif Panel (in the Photo Persona) and other software like LR to verify that the information is in the exported jpgs. APB's release should contain a Location Panel for exif information display.
Jonas14 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 since AP accesses the maps app from Apple and a commercial use until the App Store is possible, we have to wait a little bit longer... www.donath-photographie.eu
MikeFromMesa Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 since AP accesses the maps app from Apple and a commercial use until the App Store is possible, we have to wait a little bit longer... Right. Presumably until the app is available from the App Store.
TomM1 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Beautiful! P. S. I wouldn't mind a few white balance presets in the develop persona. Such as daylight, shade, tungsten etc. DreamThinkLive 1 website Mac mini M4 24 GB, LG 4K display, Canon 6DII, Mac 15.4.1
Riverpiper Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I'm really itching to get the final version of this great app. The logo that has been running with the Beta versions was great but the change to this latest one is a really bad move. Please can we keep to the original Affinity Photo logo. So much more stylish. Rigorious 1
billtils Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Out of curiosity, which logo are people referring to in their comments in this thread? The one for the app that you can drag to the dock, or the very large one that comes up when the app opens? Both have been changed, and my earlier post saying I liked the new one referred to the app/dock triangle one, but if the nay-sayers are referring to the one that comes up when the app is opened, then I'm in complete agreement. Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.
TomM1 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 One can always change the dock icon back to the camera lens image. Find the previous beta in Time Machine and copy the icon then paste it on the new version. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201737 And you can get the png image off the photo home page. website Mac mini M4 24 GB, LG 4K display, Canon 6DII, Mac 15.4.1
billtils Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 But that won't work on the "thing" that appears when the app opens :( Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.
sk3pt1c Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 hello everyone, i know it's too late to ask for a feature but i'd posted about this some time ago... photoshop has a feature for exporting where you can see the exported image's quality change when you change the quality you want to export your jpeg as. is this in this version of the software? i can't find it in the export persona. thanks :)
