evtonic3
Please for the love of God, allow for "i" to be the eyedropper shortcut! Doesn't seem like too much to ask. Great job guys on the latest betas. LilleG, dangerman2000, Nikson and 1 other
Tristan Biesecker
I agree with @evtonic3. This would be a handy shortcut.
waveman777
Guys, you're absolutely right. Please also check this post, where I explained a possible solution for the eyedropper tool. I'd be interested in what you think about it. Cheers
hevonen
Yes, please streamline color picker, current way to change color of an object to something else is unnecessarily slow and tedious. Maybe something like this: - hotkey for invoking color picker - clicking on a color will instantly change either fill or stroke of selected object(s), using modifier key (like shift) to change which one changes - clicking and dragging will recolor the selected object in realtime, to give good visual feedback - if no object is selected only color will be changed - current color palette eyedropper could coexist with this, as sometimes one just wants the color smallreflection
LilleG
+1 The multi-step color picker is the only thing I've found about either Designer or Photo that just seems clunky and not equal to the rest of Affinity's elegance.
JimGoshorn
+1. I'd love to see them take a page from Illustrator's book and not only copy color but also other attributes as well :) smallreflection
smallreflection
This is one request our developers have put in repeatedly. That and a measure tool for UI work. They don't like taking 3 steps to get a HEX color. :)
Chris_K
This seems to be a popular choice, I shall pass this down the line for consideration by the devs predick, smallreflection and ronnyb 3 Quote Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com

Nikson
+1 Please add a shortcut for eyedropper. It will be insanely handy for users!

waveman777
Guys, please check the solution in this post, and see if this would work for you. If so, this might be something for developers to work on. All comments welcome!
mimusashi
@waveman777, thanks for putting reference on this. That's helpful for now but only poses as a temporary solution. We'd still want to have the affinity team implement the on-spot eyedropper. :)
brandbrilliance
YES! +1 Eye dropper to pickup the color from another object. Select a object, press a hotkey and click on another object that you'd like to pickup the color from, voila - most other programs work this way. This dragging a tool all over the place isn't very intuitive. Quote BRANDbrilliance • Graphics • Websites • Printing • E-marketing
