Something (womthing?) tells me Rick bashed out that sentence just a little too quickly!

No Rick's eyesight is having serious issues and even the lines under the spell check is getting hard to read. Apparently that is a sign of a lack of intelligence of education

Sorry if I offended anyone. As soon as I post this I am off to fight with insurance companies

Yes, yes, and yes! One investment in time, three uses for the finished idea!

"Second-level" tools, modifiers for appropriate shapes (shapes with control points in this example) can be executed from a Context menu entry—also from a tool that changes behaviour by holding modifiers keys (Zoom tool +Alt/Opt=Zoom out), and also, also 9_9 by double-clicking, right-clicking and so on.

Let's call the tool that changes node function a Node tool, okay? When you double-click a smooth node, it becomes a cusp node in Xara Designer. I realize you have a function that converts a node property when you Alt/Opt+hold on a node control handle to toggle between smooth and cusp, but to get picky here, that's one more step in the process the artist needs to perform to reach their goal.

Little things add up.

At least they do in politics. O.o

Changing the node types could be done by modifier keys CTRL, ALT and SHIFT.

Double click on a line segment creates a node, double click on a node, deletes it.

Drawing a line with mouse dragging creates a curve, when CTRL is pressed it starts a line from that point -> FreeHand.

CorlDRAW has a briliant way of creating pies and arcs from Elipse Tool.

Just to quote myself:

drawing pies and arcs Corel's way can be implemented not only on elipse but on many other shapes (like cog...), too. Drawing a cog pie or cog arc... it could be interesting.

@AuthorAuthor maybe it is a good idea to move our suggestions into a new topic. I don't believe anyone from A-Team can see them burried here.

Hello, is there a separate beta forum for Designer, Photo & Publisher? As long-time Adobe Fireworks users we're may interested in Designer and what new and where its going, finding this forum a bit confusing as we sometimes dont know which app we are talking abut here.

Not "simple" but as shown here in the video "Rotate on plane" it works with raster images as well ( no perspective distortion afaik):

Version 2.0 around the corner any time soon? ETA? Spring/ Summer/ Fall/ Winter...?

Hi there. It will still be a while until version 2 comes out, because the features on the roadmap are for the 1.x range. And that's a good thing, because if you already paid for a previous retail version, then all of the 1.x updates are free. Affinity 2.0 will be the first paid update, and that won't happen until all the roadmap features are cleared.

The website is still a work in progress. The "Comics" and "Shop" sections are not yet ready. Feel free to connect with me and let me know what you like or what can be improved. You can contact me here, on my contact page, YouTube channel, or Twitter account. Thanks and have a great day!
