  1. Feline egg — cartoony 3D artwork (concept: Marija Tiurina) Post-processed / fine-adjusted using Affinity Photo.
  2. I used the new great Isometric function at Affinity Designer and created this simple 2.5D scene for the presentation of the box design. I also used Affinity Photo for the final effect and light settings.
  3. My latest poem Phoenix Rising using Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo to create the layout. I used PagePlus X9 to create the title using filter fx and preset styles and exported it as a 32bit PNG. Then I placed the image onto the page in Affinity Publisher, although the colours are slightly different.
  4. Sundays are always good for experimentation and blowing off some creative steam, without client deadlines and briefs. So for this Sunday I created a poster for one of my favorite Electronic Music producers: Chicane. Chicane has released a few albums that have been my creative companions for many many years ad I always go back to them when inspiration is needed. Here you can see the poster and some screenshots with details. Got any questions? Let me know. I would be more than happy to answer them Cheers from Greece Stratos.
  5. Hello Everyone. I am Stratos from Greece and these are a couple of abstract posters I created in order to decorate our offices. So far I have created 5 and these are the first two that will go out to be printed. Fan fact: almost half of all posters were designed on an iPad while on the go ;-) Love Affinity software so far and we are transitioning from Adobe and Corel to Affinity, fast and surely :) Kind Regards Stratos Agiani
  6. Downloaded the 1.7 update last night and had a quick play, really liking the new feature additions. Some of them might've been handy for this project I've been working on recently, ah well:)
  7. Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Salfinger, and I’m a freelance graphic designer based in Perth Australia. I recently finished uni studying for my Bachelor of Design along with using Affinity + iPad for all my design work since 2015 (outside of After Effect and 3D work which I use my Mac + iPad for) I wanted to share the work I made with Affinity + iPad Pro and showcase them here. I hope you like my work and can’t wait to get feedback from you all.\ You can check out my work at www.andrewsalfinger.com You can also find me online: Twitter: www.twitter.com/SalfingerAndrew Instagram www.instagram.com/salfingerandrew/ Latest work: Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great day.
  8. A commissioned map, drawn in AP, with design elements from AD added.
  9. Hi everyone, I want to share my very positive experience working with Affinity Designer and Photo. For the past 4 months I have been working on designing large booths, walls, signage and other printed materials for a huge congress with over 30 000 participants. We had tight production deadlines from our external suppliers plus I had to design all the proposals, manage communication and do several revision rounds and after that export print data. All went very well thanks to Affinity Designer and Photo. These programs handled big oversized artboards, gigabytes of TIFF images and export so smoothly I couldn't believe it. The best thing I liked was having one document per one lounge with many many different artboards which gave me flexibility to make a huge wall and small flyer with the same design in one application. Also the ability to export print ready PDFs and some JPGs in Export Persona was a huge time saver! Exporting 2400DPI PDFs was just smooth. Most of the work was done in Affinity, very very small percentage in Illustrator and 3D stuff in Blender. Here are photos and renders of some of the things which were produced. To me this was quite a successful journey. Thanks Affinity team for great products and keep going!
  10. I usually use Clip Studio Paint for raster painting as it's super responsive and the blend and mix tools are brilliant, but I thought I'd work on this piece in Designer and Photo using some of the Daub and Frankentoon brushes I've purchased over the past couple of years - seems to have worked out OK although I still prefer mixing and blending in CSP
  11. Still getting used to the whole photo editing and designing thingamajig. First one is logo Ive designed for friends Kickboxing club, its still WIP as I feel its not just there yet. Second is me messing about in Photo using the Xenon brush pack. I did wan't to try and use the smoke brush pack. But I just couldn't get it right and watching the creators Youtube video in slow motion still didn't help.
  12. I believe this is the 4th issue that I've created cover-to-cover with QuarkXpress and, just as important, Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. My workflow has COMPLETELY changed, from the world of Adobe, to a mix that serves me better. I've read through many threads in the forums, mostly positive, but some rantings how Affinity products are not "pro," whatever that means. Granted, these are my opinions, but Photo and Designer feel so much better than their Adobe counterparts. There was a bit of the "changing the brain" learning curve, but I'm far more comfortable now than I ever was with Adobe, especially since they went to a subscription model. Just with the magazine in mind, I've created photo collages, done a massive amount of photo manipulation, color correction, logo creation. . . .everything but the layout (I've been using Publisher Beta but it's not at the point where I can rely on it to see the magazine through to print). The magazine Editor and Publisher are happy, the print files are hitting all the right notes with the Printer and the public are enjoying the product, both physically and electronically.
  13. I said in an earlier post (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/75089-vintage-cigarette-packets/) I'd started a little project to reproduce some old cigarette packets (or packs, if you're on that side of the Pond). Here's another: Park Drive. Once again, I've used vectors to make the letter shapes, with a bitmap fill for the gold shadows, made by sampling the original image, and I've finished off in Photo with Merge visible and a couple of pixel textures to make it look a bit 'lived-in'. This time I thought I'd be a bit more ambitious... and try a twenty instead of a ten! And the original looked like this:
  14. Beyond Horizon is a 2D side-scroller game focusing on story and exploration both on land and within the stars. Explore dungeons, towns or fight space pirates with your ship, while uncovering the lore and the secrets behind the Sigma and the original race, all of this is just Beyond the horizon. Join the Discord Community!Follow development on Notion! What is the game about: Beyond Horizon follow Aito after his grandfather suddenly has to leave, 3 years later with no return he tries to save up everything he has in-order to afford a spaceship to go after him. While on a routine mission to find a missing cargo supply he comes across a stone that once touched absorbs into Aito giving him powers along with a map to 8 location. Unknowingly awakening an evil force to his location. Now to save his town the only option is to flee, they attempt to lure the Sigma away with his friends in a stolen spaceship, now the only option is to run. Following the map to each location in the hopes to stop this Sigma killing the system. About the Project:Beyond Horizon is a small project I've been working on for a couple of years now, starting off as a 2d pixel art game before moving into this mixture of vector and semi-realistic textures that I started to play around with while working on an illustrated calendar.I'm currently working on this project solo so production on the game has been slow (along with changing a lot of things required to re-start from the ground up) and I felt like I should start sharing the project. 15. Hi all, not sure if there will be any interest in this since Flickr isn't as popular as it once was but I have set up a group there this morning, for sharing work. Primarily for Designer and Publisher but Photo would be welcome too. You can find the group at https://www.flickr.com/groups/affinitysuite/ Currently the icon and cover photo are my images but I hope those will change if/when we get some members and content! I know that in some ways it's a duplicate of this secxtion of the forums but it has the advantage of allowing a gallery look to the images. Hope there might be some interest in this! Phil
  16. Made with Affinity Photo and Designer complete on the iPad Pro (Also used After Effect + Rough Animator for motion graphic) While studying at SAE for my Bachelor of Design, I got the opportunity to work on a re-brand and advertisement campaign for Wokka. (The following body of work is for university work only and are not for a real camping) The campaign is focused around 3 main posters that follow the story of the Dinosaur challenging the Ninja to a fight (Poster 1) so they go to the battlefield in order to fight (Poster 2) Tho they realized that neither one of them knew how to fight, so they ended it on the dance floor. The Ninja won the battle and the dinosaurs did not like this so he takes the ninja into hiding. After a couple of weeks after the posters go up a new poster he be put up over the past posters along in other area's and within the online place, this poster is a "Ninja missing poster" on the back will give some information and a QR code to give information to the "player" about the "transmedia" game where the "player" will need go around the "real world" with the Wokka app taking photos of the ninja's clothes, ninja sword, ninja star along with the use of information around online such as youtube video, Reddit posts, forum posts and more to help give information to the ninja's location, bringing the community together for a single goal. To help find the ninja's location in order for the first 5 people who find him and take a photo to get one year supply of Wokka noddles and to start of 50% off and double points for Wokka products. 17. I have been using Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer for a little under two years now, and I have enjoyed Designer very much. I used Designer and Publisher to build the below trifold for my church. I'd like to share it to show how useful Publisher was, it's not as polished as much of the other work here, but it will serve it's purpose. I was supposed to get this published in time for Tropical Storm Olivia, but since it's overhead right now I guess I'm a little late. (The names and personal numbers are fake.)
  18. I've been fooling around with this idea of a legged oven for some time. It started as an unremarkable sketch for Inktober, but I liked the idea and am bringing it further. I am doing some moods and concept sketches in AD/AP, which might end up as guides for a 3D scene.
  19. Audrey Hepburn: Moon River (Vector) Portrait (Affinity Designer/Photo) https://b-bertuleit.de/audrey-hepburn-portrait/
  20. I've been holding off posting until our Indie VR game is just about ready for release - within the next couple of months on Steam. I've been using both Photo and Designer since soon after they were released for Windows and, having used the Adobe suite for the day job (for many years), I want to thank the team as in this short time, I already greatly prefer the Affinity suite. Back on topic - The game is called Professor Chuckenhope and is based on the classic knife-throwing vaudeville act, with many twists. As a duo, with myself being the modelling/art-side of the project, we could not have achieved as much as we have as quickly as we have, without the easy Photo/Designer workflow, for the majority of the texturing. Everything apart from the character models (which are painted within Blender, but also using Photo for added details) has been textured/illustrated purely using the Designer/Photo combo. All logos have been created entirely within Designer. As we're currently still working on polishing the final build, I've not had time to work on any high quality 'stills' renders yet, but these are a few working renders, along with a promotional banner, combining and enhancing various rendered elements and the logo within Photo. To see it in motion, we currently have a teaser trailer on our site, with a full trailer also being worked on. www.tiltedreality.online Please excuse the current Wix header, we're a 'shoestring' indie duo after all! Again, a huge thanks to the team, as we would have struggled to achieve anything close to this quality with any other software. Looking forward to trying the Publisher beta.
  21. Hello friends, I leave this recent composition that I made for a client. It was made entirely in Affinity Designer 1.6.1. I used the Affinity Photo perfection brush to define pair of images. I love the freedom, power, speed, versatility and significant time saving of this wonderful software, I love it haha. I hope you can enjoy and let your imagination go, that the software can stand anything you can imagine. Long live Affinity.
  22. Hi everyone, This is from a year ago or so. I'm now doing something else with this brand so I thought I should share the older ones. I hope you like it. Some older iteration:
