Rick G reacted to justin b in Using adjustment threshold and colour picker to remove colour cast.
Hi I looked at a tutorial on removing colour casts in images. Then i tried to find something using Affinity but it appears there is not one readily available while using the Adjustment Threshold and the Colour Picker.
When I set the sampling perimeters in Affinity and then pick the corresponding shadow , light and areas there appears not to be a way to reference those regions to help with the removal of colour cast using a curves or level dialogue box. Those boxes also seem not to have individual colour pickers for the corresponding reference points which leads me to believe this technique is not at all possible.
If this is the case is there another and equally effective way to remove colour cast and at the same time white balance an image?
Thanks in advance.

Does anyone GET it yet? They announced it was coming sometime this summer and after 48 pages of discussion, crying, begging whimpering, threatening ... NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
It is still ... coming out this summer!
If you want a sign and a portent I bet it will come in the form of a new Affinity Publisher Beta Forum ... but that frankly is just another guess in this dog pile of opinions
So keep your peace grasshopper, the wold will continue

This has been rediscussed ad nauseam. The announced it will be out sometime this summer. That is the summer of 2018 If you read the early announcements you can find it there ... in this thread
And if they feel the need to postpone it until the summer of 2019, we will all suck it up, act like adults and deal with it
Unless someone has another option like marching on Nottingham with tar and feathers ...

And at $200 then only 1/4 the copies? That math doesn't work in the real world as with each price jump you lose part of your market. Also there are benefits to having a large user base which itself will generate interest and demand. Too many companies have gone the greed route and as they start failing, they cannot figure out where they wentwrong

Rick G reacted to MEB in Co-ordinate origin
Hi Topsi,
Welcome to Affinity Forums
Currently it's not possible to set a new origin point. This should be available in the next update (v1.7).

Rick G reacted to affwin in not installed beta 109 and 112 (win7)
Hi Rick, unfortunately, no success.
Can it possibly prevent a registry entry. The installation of the final version is possible, so it should be due to the installer, which is different than the final version.
Does anyone have any idea what I can taste.
Greetings Dieter

Hi Dieter,
The installer should have saved a log file called SetupUI.log in a subfolder of %temp%\AffinitySetup.
Please could you post this file here?
Thanks,
Jon

If the program directories are still in the recycle bin, restore them, clean out your temp folder, reboot and try again with no other programs running
If that doesn't work, run the beta installer as an administrator (usually not the best idea) and see if that does the trick.
If that doesn't work, uninstall the beta from the installed programs folder then try the above steps again
Temp files are located under C\Users\YOUR LOGIN\appdata\local\temp. Some of them will be locked by other things running on your system

You do NOT have to explain yourself on this. Information is welcome of course but I am afraid this issue has turned into troll bait and you should not let it upset you. The continued bickering seems to be for amusement and is not really going anywhere

Brilliant work.
It shows both your skill and the power of the Affinity software that you were able to create this with so few actual elements.
It all looks wonderful but the neon is particularly impressive.

Yes, I know that.
And it didn't happen. And it's not gonna happen.
As regards PPX9, there are still people purchasing it. Should they get a discount on APub, or the same level of discount, that you should? You've owned how many versions of PP? I began with PPX5, so a relative late owner versus yourself.
Could Serif parse out PP customers according to version or date? Sure they could. But like I wrote above, whatever the cut-off, it will leave some screaming an injustice has been done. Better just to eat their words/promise of a discount on a $50 product that will have an introductory price than to create a scheme that will still piss people off.
