  1. Thanks Walt. Is there also a quick way to export layers to assets? Sorry i have only started using this software recently.
  2. I would like to export separate layers of a file as png or jpeg to a specified folder. Is that possible and can It be done as a batch export command in or out of the Photo Affinity software? Thank you Justin --
  3. i have been told there is no way to sample a variety of colours using a sampling dropper to colour match skin. By making a palette of colours it becomes a straightforward process in photoshop to match a skin colour profile. In photoshop you simply instruct it to identify the shadows , highlights and midtones and by using the palette the relevant colours are added easily to the sampled points. If you can be a little bit more exact i will be able to understand what you found to do the same thing.
  4. Yes a comparative result can be done with Affinity Photo and to that end with many other photo editing programs. The one thing that has to stand out more than anything else is the ease of accomplishing any of the editing goals at hand. I did have a fancy to do a multi gradient background Fx using Affinity but when i realized this meant nesting layer after layer and playing around with the opacity as well as repositioning gradient posts I decided not to because in this feature at least the way it is done in Photoshop is far more easier and most of all time saving.
  5. Hi Am I correct in believing that Affinity does not have the capability to sample colours using the colour sampling adjustment tools currently available in Photoshop? If this is the case how would one work around this using another method to colour correct or even colour match skin colour? Thanks in advance. The tool is used extensively in this video:
  6. Hi I looked at a tutorial on removing colour casts in images. Then i tried to find something using Affinity but it appears there is not one readily available while using the Adjustment Threshold and the Colour Picker. When I set the sampling perimeters in Affinity and then pick the corresponding shadow , light and areas there appears not to be a way to reference those regions to help with the removal of colour cast using a curves or level dialogue box. Those boxes also seem not to have individual colour pickers for the corresponding reference points which leads me to believe this technique is not at all possible. If this is the case is there another and equally effective way to remove colour cast and at the same time white balance an image? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi guys Just wanted to ask if using software like Lightroom is necessary with Affinity Photo in order to extend its capabilities. What can lightroom do which can give images more impact and help Affinity have more to work with or is this not a valid way of looking at this combination of workflow? With the many filters and Add -ons I expect AP to soon be able to support will this then help to alter the relationship with 3rd party software and make AP not need pre or post editing software at all? I have read AP team are planning to release a lightroom styled equivalent . Does this mean that AP, therefore, is limited in what it can do or will another piece of software merely make image adjustments easier and more preset orientated rather than extend the users versatility to edit images? I am new to Photo editing and more confusing than the techniques there are for dealing with images are the myriad of programs out there that all claim to extend onto main imaging editing programs like Photoshop and Affinity. I hope my questions do not reveal my ignorance too much on this subject.
  8. Thank you for your reply. I was just following a tutorial and clicked on the same tool as the one in the tutorial. I could not understand why I was not given the same capabilities. Thank you.
  9. The flood fill tool is behaving erratically. Sometimes I am able to see the add and subtract functions the tolerance and the contiguous features and other times juat the tolerance and contiguous features and when this occurs it will not allow me to separate the selection I have made from the main image. Please help.
