I've long been a fan of orange crate art, and hope to be able to create something like this at some point. It's really this flat-color look that got me inspired this morning.

I was experimenting with the Low Polygons, but got carried away with how I might apply it to a logo, also.  Just for fun....

Oh my....thanks for the work of assembling these!

Love the artwork from that era, tho I was born in 1946!  It took many years to really appreciate what was around me in my growing up years.  I might be rich today, had I bcome a collector in the 50s. Very nicely done!

Oh, you are definitely a hero!  I've often found that what looks entirely impossible, turns out to be rather easy, once someone shows you the way.  That's why video tutorials are so important.  Thanks for showing me the way.  I love that effect, and plan on learning how to do it.

Long registered here, but one of my first few post. Finally downloaded the trial version, and I'm loving AD a whole lot...and, not the AD my ex-wife said I had, either. 
 
I decided to just play, and start with a logo, using flat colors, until I get a better handle on gradients.  I'm a long-time user of Draw-Plus, but AD just makes things so much easier....so many more possibilities.

...as coincidence would have it, I just got off the phone with a Rotary representative right in the heart of what was once, long ago, the Orange growing capital of Southern California.  Perhaps he will become my first vict...er...client, who gets benefit of some of Designer's more astounding capabilities. There's a certain...er..a_peel to doing some art work for them that has that vintage look to it.

Maybe the Icons can be simplify , not so detailed.
