Eugene Tyson Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I can't imagine why setting up a new document that Bleed options are not there. Especially when choosing any of the Print setups. Can you please ensure this is included in the dialog box by default in File>New? Przemysław, Interior Book Design, wobmann and 4 others 5 2 Quote

Eugene Tyson Posted September 7, 2018 Author Posted September 7, 2018 Yep I'd actually go the order of Type Facing Pages Page Preset Dimensions (should be linked to page preset) Margins Bleed Slug (should be added) Colour Dazmondo77 and wobmann 2 Quote
MickRose Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 The bleed setting should definitely be on the file/new page. Thisismandatory, Dazmondo77 and wobmann 3 Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
postmadesign Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I have to agree here, I use bleed for all my documents, having to go through an extra step to setup bleed is a hassle. In addition to this, I would like to be able to set default settings for bleed, which is mostly 3mm in my case, or give me the option to define presets which include bleed. Interior Book Design Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I Agree! I'm used to it and I really like the way InDesign does it. QXP, however, hides those settings and makes the bleed setup very difficult. Quote
dorkboycomics Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 +1 - would be nice to do all this setup in one place at the beginning. Quote
if.rivic Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 +1 – I agree on the way bleed and slug setup is done in InDesign Dazmondo77 1 Quote
Dazmondo77 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 +1 - also if you have bleed setup, you should be able to rasterise items on the page to the bleed size, it will currently only rasterise to the trim size Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.6.2 Betas 2.6. www.bingercreative.co.uk
despin Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 If you are a Designer this is so useful. All your document’s settings at setup. +1! Quote
ffca Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Agreed. No sense in having to specify this after setup Quote
