    Hi Rondem,
Thanks for letting us know. I've reproduced this and passed it on to development.

It would help to have an example
    Or at least some screenshots.
But, basically, you should be performing the formattnig by adjusting the Text Styles used by the TOC.

    Agreed.
In the meantime, as a workaround (in case youre not aware of it), you can create a Master Page, put the Guides on it, and then apply the Master to any spreads that need those guides. Of course, when applying this new Master, you'll need to remember to not replace any existing Master the spread may have

Despite the fact that PDF-to-EPub isn't the overall best or foolprove conversion route for generating Epub files, Calibre is one of the best and feature richest apps in this EPUB tooling field I know of. - Related to Affinity Publisher, actually it's limited in wider output format generation (or publishing related import/export formats in general) capabilities. For sure it would benefit to have some more format options here in order to exchange data with other apps.

You can do it in either program, using Pen tool or Shape tools. Designer is ideal for this task as it has more capabilities to work with vector graphics. Below I use Designer. Pen tool takes a little bit of practice to get curves perfected, but well worth it to learn the tool. It is helpful to draw on sketch form first with as clean of lines as possible, as large as possible (avoid thumbnail) so that when you scan over, you can use it as a template.

Another trick, sometimes much easier for these types of curves, you can use oval/circle tool and other shape tools. For example, draw your circle/oval, overlay on the first curve and "cut out" using Subtract using a throw-away shape..... You can then use Pen tool to create throw-away shape to "snip" any "distenders".

For more detailed look into this, look up Von Glitschka. He has a very detailed book on this, as well as a Lynda//LinkedIn course, though his is mastery is to point of illustration-level. He is also focused on logos/general design. You can get away with using shape tools and using "throw away" shapes to cut away to get the curves you need from those larger ovals... you would do a series of shapes and "throw aways" to alter the original shapes, keep "grouping"/merging those shapes and cutting away until you get your final shape..  in fact, this is often best practice, because you get the "clearest" results. Harder to explain in writing... so here is quick video...
My example is not the most precise/cleanest, but it's just to show the general idea of cutting away from a larger shape to get to your final. Using pen tool to edit those final shapes by either adding extra shapes, or making throw aways (sacrificial shapes for subtract step). it's important to have snapping off and any guides off during these steps. Or, at least reduce it to a level where it won't get in the way except when you need certain cuts made.

Anyway, this is in the wrong forum. No problem, it happens. A mod will move the post where it should go?

Yes, definitely - I'm really sorry, I didn't fully consider the consequences of not including this tool in Designer I will try to add it for next time, but it might be a preferences option to enable it (so that we retain a visual consistency between versions for other users)
    Thanks!

    Status: Beta
    Purpose: Updates and Fixes
    Requirements: Purchased Affinity Publisher
    Windows Store: Not submitted
    Download: Download
    Auto-update: Not Available
    ---
Due to the installer issue discussed below we have chosen not to make this build available via auto-update.
    ---
    Hi,
We are pleased to announce that Affinity Publisher Customer Beta 1.8.4.648 is now available as a download from the link above.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
This beta is an incremental update to the 1.8.3 version recently released to all customers (though it installs parallel to the release). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.
    ---
We have a number of fixes to tools when working across multiple spreads:
Allow immediate dragging of objects on other spreads Constraining while dragging objects between spreads now works correctly When dragging between spreads, snapping is now performed on the target spread candidates Dragging objects between spread using the Focal Point handle now works correctly Fixes for dragging curve nodes across multiple spreads Fixes for 'restart drag' when translating across spreads Fixed issue with auto-panning in the text tool Plus miscellaneous updates and fixes:
Fixed crash when dragging items in the Layers control Improved performance of PDF import (~40% faster in the test case) Improved performance of text when rendering text Fixed vector export of text occasionally filling characters Fixed crash when closing floating document  Fixed New Document dialog previous document selection highlight not being remembered Fixed PNG export not displaying the size warning if the export dialog was previously closed with a different preset Additional logging and diagnostics added to installer to help anybody with install issues ---

It has been implemented, just as it has for Photo and Designer.

There was a bug in 1.8.2 that prevented it from working for any file that had previously been saved, but it was fixed in 1.8.3.

    Hi cje,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
You can send the whole Designer document (not single images) to Affinity Photo going to menu File > Edit in Photo then switch back again to Designer using the same process or for simple edits just use the Pixel Persona in Affinity Designer.

When you are almost done and you try to remove the plane with the button, nothing happens. You can ADD a plane with that button but to remove the plane you must do it from the layers menu

I went through several prior Beta versions, stopping at 1.7.1 and all of them are like this. I've never noticed it until now. Never using the Smudge brush I guess I'd miss it.

Do what they call a "Control runup" which is holding down the control key while you start the program. It will bring up a menu that lets you clear some data including possibly some of your customization. Try with the first thee checked and see if that fixes it.
