Adjustments on mask...Plz explain!!!!

Recommended Posts

I can't see what you are really doing there. Are you adding the levels adjustment to the mask or to the text?

You are aware that the Adjustment layers and Live Filter layers have their own built in masks? Could it be that the Adjustment layer's mask is competing with the Layer mask you applied?

EDITED

Have you tried Clipping your texture image inside the text, without rasterizing the text? Then applying the Levels Adjustment to the clipped texture?

There does seem to be a substantial change to the blur after being rasterized though, which I'd expect to stay the same, ( This is something else apart from the reported issue  )
Before:

after

The visualized difference:

Notes: The UI bounding box is different by design but the letters should be the same, the zoom level of the canvas as well as the position hasn't been changed throughout the whole video so that can't be the explenation

To inspect blur, sharpening or noise effects you need to zoom to 100%.

The preview while zoomed out exaggerates the effect. Merging bakes in the effect and the rendering can differ. This is by design (mipmaps used for snappy rendering)
