  1. @Hangman I've had this exact issue with "Hardware Acceleration" Disabled. I think that there's also a similar report made by someone else
  2. Good try, but unfortunately this only "hides" the issue is still there
  3. What Application are you using? All Are you using the latest release version? v2.1.1 Can you reproduce it? Yes Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Yes hardware acceleration Does not matter What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) I have a .afdesigner linked inside another document, the linked document has 2 Layers: In the receiving document, I have 2 copies of the linked document: 1. 2. Both 1 and 2 become, goes back to default (Chenged to above between each test): 1. After editing anything and then saving the linked/embedded file. 2. After switching the app of the receiving document. 3. After re-opening the receiving document. 😐 This is literally making layers useless Notes: All documents are .af and have been created in .af from scratch This happens with or without artboards in the linked or the receiving document It is very frustrating to deal with
  4. I was able to replicate it: It's just 2 grouped rectangles with a stroke, you enable scale with the object inside the stroke panel and then resize the group. You can also see it in the thumbnail of the file: Not the same thing but it has things that the design doesn't File: resize bug.afdesign
  5. This seems to be linked together, but here the bleeding layer is a "Fill Layer" which also doesn't show in the bleed: I think there might be a few more that i reported regarding some kind of issue with bleed/artboards
  6. Interesting Screenshot of rectangle going past artboard/ "Include bleed" selected Exported file:
  7. With the right node group, you can even do boolean operations in Blender (2D stuff) There is actually a new node-based 2D editor being made (Opensource), called Graphite which is planning to be node-based like Blender
  8. Now that we have the corner and contour tools, it would be so useful to have them as modifiers/curve vector effects, right now the corner tool flattens the whole curve which isn't ideal. (Even if the corner tool would apply to every point, it would still be better)
  9. I know that the size has been reported but I haven't seen the position of the artboards being reported, and I think in this case it shouldn't matter, especially when pixel alignment didn't even work properly on the artboard.
  10. What Application are you using? Designer Are you using the latest release version? v2.1.1 Can you reproduce it? Yes Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Yes hardware acceleration Does not matter What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) Firstly I'd like to acknowledge that there are reports similar to this one, but those are regarding the width and height of the artboards themselves. Here we have 3 artboards, the first 2 are offset by .5 and the third one is perfectly pixel aligned. the first to export with an extra pixel and the 3rd exports fine. I would expect the artboard position to have no effect on the exported image, and be exported with the same size as is specified for that artboard. Bonus: Here I moved an artboard with force pixel alignment enabled, it did not snap as it's supposed to and ended up at x=2449.527px, the position of this artboard was x=2416px: File: artboard_placement.afdesign
  11. Hi @Lee_T, Below is the full structure of the documents, ideally, all should be linked, but when the PDFs are linked they don't necessarily load fully which goes down the chain of the linked Designer Files, so the end looks the same way the first Designer file looks. Embedding the PDFs does render them fully. Also when linking the second Designer file to the third file the linked file ends up looking extra blurry, in this part, it does not matter if the file is embedded or linked, so I end up having to link an exported version (PNG) of the second Designer File: (One of the files in the third column) Thank you
  12. Yes I agree, the only way to close it was to force quit Designer using Task Manager But I think the main issue is the way Affinity displays files being opened as there was no way for me to even try and solve the issue, no way of differentiating which file might even be causing the issue. Plus this is still an issue:
  13. What Application are you using? Designer Are you using the latest release version? v2.1.1 Can you reproduce it? Not sure Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? Na hardware acceleration On What happened for you (and what you expected to happen) I have 4 Files Opened and not opening any new ones as there is nothing in the top right corner/I only opened those 4 One of them is stuck like this, and the images(Linked Document from "Packaging--v2-4") are cropped/not rendered fully after updating the file in "Packaging--v2-4", I can move / do things with them as if they were rendered fully though Edit: The source "Packaging--v2-4" which is a layout of artboards with linked PDF files in them to look the same, embedding the PDFs makes them render fully without any issues, but changing them to Linked causes it to go back to the same way it was before embedding them and takes significantly longer for them to actually render in (only in "Packaging--v2-4", the "Atlas_Box-Small" does not render in fully)
  14. Yes this technically does work, although the benefit of having a centralized app with the ability to select which pannel goes where on the screen based on its function would allow for personalized / fine-tuned workflows, it would add some complexity but it would also remove some of it. Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the reasons for having them separately, as it allows users to compare the apps individually between other similar apps
