I mean by suggested if this was already posted by someone else.
And will be a improvement if this will be fixed.

AndRo Marian reacted to GarryP in Extended functionality for Paste Inside
I think it might be nice if the Paste Inside functionality could be extended to paste the item on the clipboard into every selected object, rather than just one – see attached image for an example.
We could have two options, Paste Inside (existing functionality) and Paste Inside All (new functionality).
The pasted object would have to be centred within each selected layer for it to be of any use.
I haven’t put a lot of thought into the ramifications of this, and so I don’t know what problems it could cause, but I think it might be a nice addition which could come in handy sometimes, if it will work nicely and not break other things.
Just thought I’d bring it up – not a big deal.
This thread asks about a similar thing but it wasn’t a request: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/78022-ad-paste-inside-in-multiple-shapepath/
This thread is for a similar, but slightly different, request: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/87608-paste-inside-centred/
There are various threads about pasting into groups but that’s not what this request is about.

    Hi AndRo,

I'll pass this on to development to look into as we will be taking a deep look at the UI in the coming future, but I don't expect it to be changed for a 1.x release.

I agree, in illustrator they have guides - that's it, not vertical horizontal or incline, just guides and those guides can be manipulated easily and in all 2D orientations. They also have smart guides which is more like industrial strength snapping more that it is traditional guides.
That still doesn't do much for Affinity users but maybe guides will get more "intelligent" in affinity

You can simply drag guides out from Affinity's rulers, unfortunately Affinity guides cannot be moved or transformed with the transform panel and that is what Andro is alluding to, in affinity a guide is a basic guide, in Illustrator a guide is an object that can be selected and transformed, rotated and precisely positioned, this is a great feature of guides in Illustrator and removes the need for a Guides Manager. You can even draw a path/curve and Make a guide from that path/curve.

    Hence my question above:
For instance, do we name the Assistant Manager the “Assistant Manager” or do we name it the “Tuxedo Button”?
I realise that’s being a bit facetious, but hopefully it gets the idea across in a memorable way.

Thank you for using the Serif Affinity forums. If you post a question please be aware we are unfortunately running many days behind in replying to threads. You will probably get a reply from other forum members who may be able to answer your question to your satisfaction. However, please be assured that the Affinity Team who work these forums should reply to you if you still require it but it may not be very soon.
Explanation: The recent launch of the We want to help 90 day free trial offer,  combined with the current 50% off sale AND the suite wide launch of version 1.9 has meant that a tremendous number of Question threads (more than 2300 in 6 weeks) were made here. Consequently we are still working through this unusual level of demand, but so far many of those threads are still not replied to by anyone from the Affinity Team.
If you posted a few weeks ago and are now reading this, we have now released version 1.9.1 on all platforms containing many bug fixes It is possible your problem has already been fully addressed. If you are still experiencing your problem while using the 1.9.1 release build, then please repost again in your thread that your problem is unresolved and a member of our team will work to respond to your thread as soon as possible
As a side note I would like to pay tribute the the forum regulars here. If you get an answer from one of them chances are you may not need the Affinity team by the time we get round to your thread. These spring to mind.

AndRo Marian reacted to GarryP in Creating guides seams to me to be inverted
The first time I read AndRo Marian’s first post in this thread I thought it was a ludicrous question.
However, after a bit of thought, I believe that I can see where they are coming from and I think the concept has good logical reasoning.
Horizontal Guides are drawn horizontally, as horizontal lines, and Vertical Guides are drawn vertically, as vertical lines.
The name of the guide-type tells you the orientation of the guide; and that sounds fine.
However, Horizontal Guides are used to align things vertically and Vertical Guides are used to align things horizontally.
And, when you think about it for a while, ignoring what you already know, that can start to sound strange.
The name of the guide-type tells you something about how the guide is drawn but it doesn’t relate to what you do with it.
In other words, the name is related to what you see rather than what it is for.
If you start to accept the idea that Horizontal Guides should be for aligning things horizontally and Vertical guides should be for aligning things vertically – the opposite of how they are now – then that can actually sound more logical. Create a horizontal guide to allow horizontal alignment, create a Vertical Guide to allow vertical alignment.
The simple addition of the word “alignment” (their purpose) to the names swaps their meaning around: “Vertical Guide” becomes “Vertical Alignment Guide”, and “Horizontal Guide” becomes “Horizontal Alignment Guide”.
So now we have the question of how we name things. Do we name things after what they look like or do we name them after what they are used for?
Personally I don’t really care because I know what they do and what they are for and I’m used to it. I can also understand that most people who are used to using these things will also not see anything wrong with how things are, also because that’s what they are used to.
But, I can see the argument for renaming them and switching things around so they are named for what they do rather than how they look.
It’s an interesting idea which should not be dismissed out-of-hand simply because ‘that’s just how things are’.

My i5-4440 uses 80% CPU, 80% GPU just moving the Rectangle Tool on the Document (1920x1080) with not GRID on a tool selected, empty project really nothing to do.
When doing the gradient the CPU 100%, 80% GPU.
On Illustrator is max 60% CPU, 80% GPU with grid on CPU 95%/ GPU 100% and is slow, big delay / Gradient 75% CPU, 80% GPU and with GRID on not affecting much CPU 85%, GPU 99%, 100% with not lag
Not sure why is the Performance that with even i5 and Integrated Intel HD 4600. But in your case is really weird. But should work more in performance.

AndRo Marian reacted to Heres Johnny in Remove duplication from [ALT]
Currently if we hold [CTRL] and drag an object, Affinity will drag a copy of that object. Great.
Why the need for the exact same behavior with the [ALT] modifier key? It is often in conflict with temporarily overriding snapping. We are forced to move an object a little bit first before being able to press and hold [ALT] to simply override snapping. Otherwise, it creates a duplicate of the selected object.
Please fix this. Let [CTRL] stay for duplication, and [ALT] for overriding snapping (if active).

The issue for me is simply that they have two commands that do exactly the same thing, and one of them is undocumented.  I don't care whether they make it ctrl or alt, or whatever, but I only need one command.  Pick one and update the status bar accordingly.

Automatic renaming of layers and artboards
When copying artboards several times, they are added with the same name. Often this ends up with many artboards with the name "Artboard1".
Artboard names are for example important when exporting, so they should have unique names
I need an option which, after selecting layers or artboards, would allow me to give them a name with consecutive numbers like
    CustomName 01
    CustomName 02
    CustomName 03
    ...
It is very uncomfortable and time consuming to manually edit this for 30 artboards.

AndRo Marian reacted to SerpentEagle in "Collapse All" Option in the Layers Panel
It would be very nice if you could collapse all layers at once in the layers panel. Layers become very difficult to work with when you have many of them since selecting objects expands the parent layer, so you have to scroll back up and manually collapse them yourself.
Perhaps you could have it so that layers are only expanded for as long as the item within it is selected? That way, after deselecting an object, the layer expansion goes back to its previous state, which is ether expanded or collapsed. Am I making any sense?

I am used to feature by Photoshop that I am missing in Affinity Photo. I want to change the color of the transparecy grid. If I am creating white icons, it is very difficult to see what I'm doing because the grid is way to bright for this. I could not find an equvalent setting in Affinity Photo. Is this currently possible? See my attached image for clarification. I am using Affinity Photo 1.6.5.135 on Windows 10 x64.

That's not feature requests but bugs!
Metric system was created at our Revolution to unify with a simple design and simple way to count, and stop using all the old and complicated other systems with difficult conversions or no concordance between mesurements. It's a decimal system, with a standard meter as reference. Using non decimal mesurement is heresy and a bug
Same point with the automatic French quotes that insert wrong characters (‹›) instead of the ones we find in almost each of our sentences: I posted twice about this with no result.
Features need to be implemented. Bugs are easiers: they just need to be easily corrected when they are as simple as this.
