cocoazenith Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Hi, I've searched the forum but it seems that these features have yet to be implemented. So here I am asking whether they are possible and I am just missing something: I'm talking about the Pencil Tool in Affinity Designer. 1. Is it possible to automatically close a path after you have drawn a...circle...let's say? So basically I'm asking AD to snap to closing the path for the Pencil tool. 2. When I use the pencil tool and stop drawing with my tablet there's a problem resuming the shape that i've already created. You just simply cannot continue the path. Cheers! nodeus and Maria 2 Quote
Staff Callum Posted April 5, 2017 Staff Posted April 5, 2017 Hi Cocoazenith, Welcome to the Forums :) It isn't possible to automatically close your paths or continue drawing them with the Pencil tool I'm afraid. However I will move this thread to the Feature Requests section as I think these suggestions would make great additions to the apps :) C Maria 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
cocoazenith Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 great. looking forward to seeing them implemented. Also the Lock Guides feature is a very important feature that i would like to be available. cheers! Quote
awakenedbyowls Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Was this ever implemented? I'm trying to work out how to get the pencil tool to do this. Seems like a fairly basic feature to me. Dazmondo77, Kaze and retrograde 3 Quote

Guest Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Just bumping this one again as it is still a considerably annoyance to my workflow. Quote
prophet Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 I'm using the pencil tool for the first time today and within the first 3 seconds was utterly confounded by not being able to continue my stroke. Quote

But the paradox is that if you search directly for the term "Sculpt", you will not find anything at all.
