Affinity Designer Windows Customer Beta - 1.9.1.943

Recommended Posts

Click here to download the latest beta - This is now distributed via CDN, so downloads should be quick for everyone... hopefully!
(note: on chrome browser you will need to use right click and use "open link in new tab", as this is an http link)

Status: Customer Beta
Purpose: Fixes
Requirements: A valid product key (for Affinity Store purchases), or an installation of the full retail version from the Microsoft Store

As this is a beta it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that may be adversely affected by the application failing, including the total loss of any documents. We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post a new thread in this forum and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback.

If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum.

The download comes from cdn.affinity.serif.com, rather than from Amazon. My guess: Content Delivery Network. Probably a URL that Cloudfront recognizes and has cached.

Yeah it's a CloudFront URL. Which means the file is pushed around the world to multiple data centres so that the downloads are faster if you're further from the original server.

We do the same for our retail builds on the Affinity Store.

Thanks @Jowday. Shout out to @Chris J who worked on the fix!

Credit where credit is due: Thanks @Chris J! Display scaling is good and necessary stuff for aging eyes - so Affinity fully supporting it is wonderful! 🙂
