…If you could please go ahead and make the shadow max radiuses bigger… I use them often to make the foreground objects pop out just subtly, and to do that the shadow needs to feather out wide and soft. And as the canvases are sometimes quite big, as in rollups and banners, the radiuses need to be quite big too, to do just that.
    Over and out.

    Hi brittanilay,

Really sorry to hear that! Unfortunately I've not been able to reproduce. Are you able to reproduce the crashing behaviour you got? If so could you record a video and attach it please?
With regards to the missing files you could try the following:
Download iMazing (Commercial application for Mac, but the free trial is only needed, unfortunately i'm not aware of any Windows applications) Connect your iPad to your Mac Make a backup of the iPad through iMazing In the top right click the iPad's name and select the backup Inside the Apps > Affinity Designer folder > Library > Application Support > com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.ios >  Drag the Autosave folder to the desktop (iMazing trial allows 10 drag operations, so doing the folder will get all files exported at once) Renamed from .autosave to .afdesign and check through these files.

Why not be able to press option anytime while dragging? It should be possible to modify the given action at any time, it‘s a modifier key after all. As a Mac user I am used to this behaviour from macOS Finder. So I still find myself accidentally expecting it in Affinity apps where nothing will happen as long as I haven’t pressed option before I start dragging. I think this is an oversight as it wouldn’t interfere with anything else.

Läppä, I’d opt for your second suggestion: click + drag -> modify the action anytime in the midst of dragging by pressing the modifier key. Why not just do it like macOS Finder does?

    Hi,
This affects our other apps too and there is currently an issue logged relating to this.
    Thanks

At the moment, Alt+drag duplicates, but alt+click does not select: you need to have the object first selected, then alt+drag. This is quite tedious dealing with small objects, with which the transform handles tend to get in the way.
Please facilitate either immediate duplicating by alt+click -> drag without lifting mouse button, or by click+drag -> alt pressed while dragging.
    Keep up the good work!

I haven't been able to test, but this might work. Right-click on your PDF file and choose Open With > ColorSync Utility. Once it's opened, at the bottom of the window there is a Filter popup menu. Pick "Create Generic PDFX-3 Document", then click apply. This is based on El Capitan, but hopefully it hasn't changed in Mojave.
This supposedly will make it a CMYK PDF.
I agree though, that this needs to work directly from Publisher and I can't consider it for press work until that kind of thing works properly.

Am I correct in assuming that we didn't have outer shadow intensity before…?

AND REGEX! TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY!
For real. I've been using the beta in maybe five production jobs (Oops! I did it again!) and I'd say when InDesign came out… it wasn't half as finished as your product. On the other hand, we didn't have social media then and they dominated the market.

Anyhow, great work again, kids. If you ever feel like hiring a Product Evangelist, let me know

The following is not a bug report. It is an appreciation.
I have to say that the quality of Affinity's beta software is better in many respects than "finished" software sold by certain other companies.
Three simple examples (just FYI, I'm on a Mac using OS 10.13.6):
    1. It may be that I am a lousy beta-tester – perhaps I am not pushing these betas to their limit – but I swear that not one of them has ever "hung" or "crashed" on me, not even once! I have no idea how you people do it but I have to admit to a certain amount of amazement.
    2. When I use Affinity's betas to open a file that was created in an older non-beta version, I get a sensible dialog with careful and clear options. Small details like this can be extremely important!
    3. Tiny details are fixed in the betas that are not even detailed in the release notes. For example in Designer, text boxes "usually" have 8 re-sizing handles, but two of them on mid-points can vanish if your zoom is set "too low." In previous betas, the work-around was to zoom in, at which point the "missing" handles would re-appear. In recent betas, you can re-size the text box even if you can't see the "missing" handles. I presume the latter (new) behaviour is intended and I, for one, certainly notice and appreciate it!
These are just three examples. I could go on but … in short … THANKS FOR MAKING GREAT SOFTWARE!

Läppä got a reaction from Sean P in SOLVED: Font exports wrong characters when TTF and OTF activated simultaneously
Exporting a magazine, a font called HK Grotesk converted to some totally different character set. Seems like there was a some kind of warning system coded into Publisher, as the export view flashed me some serious redded out icons.
Inspecting the issue further, it turned out I had both TrueType and OpenType versions of the font activated and that sent the poor little pdf exporter's head spinning. Deactivated the TTF versions and – voilà!
So, some safeguards may need to be built, but nothing serious here.

Läppä got a reaction from John-B in Dragging layers to another document
Two little intuitivity & workflow related issues to fix whenever:
    1) You can't drag layers to another document unless you go to separated mode. Which is a multiple step pain if you're fullscreen: first exit fullscreen, then go separated mode, then drag your windows around until you find the correct ones.
    2) After dragging the layers, the order of the dragged layers is reversed in the new document. Again, a pain, if you have dragged multiple layers.

    Hi Läppä,

Thank you for the file! I've reproduced that and will get it passed along to development. As MikeW mentioned its interesting that the colour is corrected when you open the Edit dialog, but then reverts back after cancelling out for me!

From friends and stuff ( I don't typically need that) I hear a lot are using shutterstock and istockphoto. I believe istock used to be the most cured, in quality, of the bunch. Dunno now, tho. I kind of consider both. Or just two providing what those do : One with a massive archive (shutterstock, if I'm not wrong, but haven't used it as a... user), with gives you the so much needed variety when doing a design,  then other with highly vetted quality. I went through their (istockphoto) quality tests some years ago ( again, maybe it's a lot more relaxed, now...dunno), as a submitter (vector illustration, only) as the company I worked at told me to do that.... And....maybe they have relaxed it a bit, and tho I passed ( I carefully went through a ton of requirements... felt like work, lol, I'm required to roll so in any case), man, were them strict and had a very artistic/sharp eye... Is not just specs... at least, the staff I could deal with  back then, those folks did know about art creation, composition, color, etc.
