May be a silly question - I brought in three images to edit and wanted to switch one to landscape. Is there a quick way to rotate the canvas including image without using the doc settings?

If she catches the receipt, I will be sleeping in the shed - still I'm sure I could run an extension lead down and set up office amongst the garden furniture.

Hey David, very nice work! I like the concept of a raving Icecream van and the color scheme matches the ice cream theme nicely ;)

Yeah, you can definitely do it in the DRAW persona. Adding it, while using the gradient tool is a great way to add subtle effects.

TBH, I was recalling from memory. I'm pretty sure noise can be added in the PIXEL persona. I'll have a look again when I'm home.

    Sorry for the confusion,

    Morning peeps,

Here's a new weird creature for ya all: eejitus temptationus! With a fishing rod taped to its back, it spends all day, every day, staring at cake. Delicious yummy cake. All day.

Thank you so much Wifestealer (that's not your occupation is it?!?)

Yeah, I find it easier to draw on paper first rather than on the CINTIQ (not a skill I have mastered yet!) Then it's all scanned in and ready to be manipulated in AD. AD is awesome!!

Thanks again for the awesome comment!

    Hello everyone!

First post in the forums, so here's a little introduction/explanation first: I've been looking for a good alternative to Illustrator (which I use in my daily job) for my freelance work and came across Affinity Designer. I lurked through the forums a bit, saw the introductory video about a hundred times and eventually when Illustrator abolished my last nerve and obliterated any pieces of patience I had left, I knew - Affinity Designer will be the software I use! I thought it would be a cool idea to try and record my first project with the program and share it with the community. It's nothing special, mostly shapes and gradients, but I had to start somewhere, so here goes:

David, I very recently bought a HUION 610Pro when Amazon were running a special deal.  I have absolutely no cause to regret the decision to buy; it works perfectly for me in both Photo and Designer, using Win 10.

Perhaps I need to add that I am no expert with either the programmes or the tablet!

I have a Huion 1409. It cost about 1/4 of a comparable Wacom, but only has about 1/3 the pressure sensitivity. No major down sides. The drawing surface is a little slicker than I like. I'm not sure how long the wireless pen keeps its charge.

Small upside, the wireless transmitter, about a half inch long, has 8 G of memory, so makes a convenient place to duplicate my work

Before I bought it, I was able to find positive reviews of earlier models, no major negatives. I supported both Mac and Windows machines at my job, and on the Mac side, there were rarely few  device compatibility probs. Windows seems to have gotten better, but I would be sure to review any products that do not have well established reputations.

I drew it all on grid, rather than skew anything. just use the snap to guides then as you say use the corner tool to round it all up. Takes a bit of messing to get them all looking balanced as corner angles are different on opposing sides.

Edit: I'm pretty hooked on isometric everything at the moment, have a robot to do next, I could literally sit doing it all day. I love it (desperately putting off a brochure and a batch of boring flyers I'm supposed to be making for a client).
