Hi i know that a lot of people have requested this but maybe if you will see more you will add this tool and features.
    1. Shape Builder Tool form Illustrator will be grate for new users.
    2. A way to group layers in folders by colors.
    3. Possibility to edit imported files (like .svg) without double clicking and editing them in a new tab (will be amazing if you can ungroup them and have access to edit the imported file in the main project)
If this post is not a appropriated I'm sorry but those this is frustrating me and i wanted to let the Affinity Team know so maybe they can add those things.

    Status: Beta
    Purpose: Updates and Fixes
    Requirements: Purchased Affinity Publisher
    Windows Store: Not submitted
    Download: Download
    Auto-update: Available
    Hi,
We are pleased to announce that Affinity Publisher Customer Beta 1.9.0.822 is now available as a download from the link above.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
This beta is significant update from the 1.8 version available for purchase - we strongly recommend that you do not use this beta for real work as data could be lost and the files you save are not guaranteed to open in previous or future versions of Affinity Publisher.
    ---
    New Features
Product registration and store content streaming
We have now added the ability to link your Affinity app to your Affinity account through a new app registration process. This will have the advantages of you being able to stream any content you have purchased or received for free from the Affinity store directly to all your apps without having to manually install them. This is of particular use to customers who have more than one of our apps, or run our apps on different devices and operating systems as all your content will automatically be available across all of them.
If you register the beta app you will initially receive a free brush kit (the luminance brush kit) for testing purposes. We appreciate this is of little use if you only use Publisher. In a couple of weeks however this will be expanded to include all of the store content you may already own.
While this is the full scope of what we are implementing for 1.9, the link between your account and your apps will open up the possibility for us to offer other features and services in the future which we think you will like.

The new log-in system seems to work on my end. Got a message that asked me if I wanted to keep my downloads or uninstall. Thanks for listening to the feedback!
Btw, I have a small request regarding logging in and out of your account. Right now I noticed that if you log out, you have to manually type in your e-mail info again from scratch to log back in. I know some log-in services that save your account name/e-mail info after having typed it in once as a small quality of life improvement, so would it be possible to get something like that for Affinity?

I do not want to fight with you but in the quote that i refer to it says explicitly that the users are not forced to use the sign up process. They are free to download their content the old way and turn off the internet completely.
I do not opose to your position (or critisism) towards constant online connection. I try to point out that this is only one of two options and the user has the freedom to choose.

As a legal user I have nothing against you guys trying to prevent or make harder piracy (because nobody ever prevented it entirely) etc.
I would love to see option to save on my account, on your server settings to each app. Upon re-installing for whatever reason I could just synchronize settings instead of having manually set it up. Its not that I am re-installing often, but when I do this would be more then welcomed option.

Yeah, we’re very interested in hearing feedback on the reg / content streaming stuff.
A few comments:   Signing in is purely to give the ability to stream content from the store directly into your apps. If you decide not to sign in it will have no other impact at all - you will be able to use the apps as usual. All store content will continue to be available to download and install in the old way if you would prefer for whatever reason not to sign in to get it. Once you are signed and install your content that will be available to you in future whether or not you are connected to the internet. The only thing is if you physically decide to sign out of the app you will then lose access to that store content. You can get it back at anytime by signing in again (or alternatively installing the old way as per point 2.)  This will not be the case in the next beta - if you sign out you will be able to choose to keep your store content installed. We are absolutely not collecting any usage data or anything else while you are signed in.   The issue with allowing your store content to still be available if you sign out of the app is that it could be open to abuse (i.e. credentials for an account which has purchased all content could be passed around for 1,000s of people to sign in, install and then immediately sign out of). Of course this concern isn’t directed at you guys, but something we need to think about   But yes we are very interested in your feedback on all of this and are definitely listening.

Users with certain locales are being presented with an Internal Server Error when trying to register their applications. We are aiming to resolve this issue (server-side, no application update required) tomorrow morning. I will update this post when the issue has been resolved.

This is something I've already picked up on and reported to development, but thanks for letting us know.
This has been covered earlier in the beta but the Corner Tool also uses this wording and we've never had any issues crop up from it.

I'd be happy with just the one word "Bake". Anybody unsure of what it will do can read the Help if they are afraid to click the button. (It currently just invokes the Convert To Curves command.)

In what way would that function actually "expand" the appearance?  The appearance is not changing - it is not getting larger, for example.

Should probably be thought of as shorthand for "bake in appearance"...  you are taking the appearance resulting from the tool and making it part of the underlying curve of the object.

I personally think the terminology Serif is using for that makes a lot more sense than what Adobe is using.

Just playing with the contour tool. Very interesting. I'm thinking of ways I could use it. In the meantime, I noticed a couple fo things:
    - If my document is in inches, and I change it to something else, the Radius box stays with inches. This happens with any measurement unit change. The Radius box won't change units until you pick another tool and then reselect the Contour tool.
    - I'm not sure about the button named "Bake Appearance". I wasn't sure what it did until I clicked it. I certainly would never call it that, since we're not cooking here. What about Expand Appearance, which is what Illustrator would call it?

I just noticed a new feature that haven't seen mentioned.  When working with a line with only one dimension the anchor point display now is more realistic.  Good work.  And it switches so when in the node tool even if it's not 2 dimension, if there are only 2 nodes the anchor points show this.  And we can now rotate the nodes while in the node tool.  Cool!
