    The iPad apps are sold exclusively via Apple. You would download the free app and then buy the full version as an in-app purchase.

    You do need to be online to activate the apps. There are no plans to change how the V2 apps are activated. 
    Nothing will change with your V2 licenses following today's news. As an Affinity user you will be able to continue to use your apps in perpetuity as they were originally purchased – with plenty of free updates to V2 still to look forward to!

    Welcome to the forums.
    If you sign into your Affinity Store account here you can access trials of all three programs on Windows and Mac from the 'downloads and product keys' section of your account. If you want to try the iPad versions too, the trial versions are available exclusively from the App Store.

    Welcome to the forums.
    As Walt says, there's no subscription for our software. It's bought for a one off payment. Also, you don't have an Affinity Store account under the email you used to set up this forum account. It sounds like you may be in  touch with the wrong company.

    According to the instructions added by the distributor when purchasing the code, I was supposed to activate the code at https://store.serif.com/redeem/I did not download the program

    OK, so I worked it out for myself but will explain as it may be of help to someone else.
    I went to the Affinity.serif site (https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/ or whatever is appropriate for your language). Then I clicked on the menu bar icon that looks like a silhouette of a person inside a circle. This took me to the sign-in page for my account. Again click on the same menu bar icon and, from the drop-down menu, select "Downloads and product keys." This gives you a history of your purchases. Click on the appropriate one -- in my case "Affinity v2 Universal License" -- and this, in my case, took me to another page which shows all of the three Affinity apps and allows me to download them afresh.
    It not screamingly obvious, but the resources are there if you know (or out of curiosity discover) where to look.

    Yes, that's right. They would download a trial from the Apple Store and then pay Apple as in app purchase from within the free trial.

    That message would suggest that you are trying to download one of our V1 free trials. These are no longer available now that V2 is released. Please try again making sure you are using the link for the full V1 programs and not the trials.

    Sorry, it would not be possible to buy a Universal license by instalment I'm afraid. We would need payment in full by credit/debit card or Paypal.

    We've had some reports of this being connected to WIFI issues. Can I suggest turning off your WIFI, closing the program, then reopening the software and turning the WIFI back on.

    Thanks for the correction to what you were purchasing.
    Note that I'm just a user, but I've seen a lot of reports like yours here. In every case I've seen, Serif was right that the sale was not completed, and the bank had only reserved the funds, not paid them to Serif. The bank released the funds back to the user's account when they figured out the sale was incomplete. 
    So, I would believe what Serif is saying in that article that @SFurniss referred you to.

    Unfortunately, we are unable to offer additional V2 upgrade discounts for V1 purchases made more than 90 days before launch. However, all of our V2 apps, including the Universal Licence, are now available for 40% off — something we decided to do as a gesture of goodwill so all existing V1 customers have an opportunity to upgrade at an incredible price. This offer is only on for a limited time, so please bear this in mind.

    You will need to register from within Affinity Photo as that was the program you ordered the full license from. You will not be able to register from the other two programs.   When you open the software after buying it you will get a screen offering you the option to create a new account or to sign into an existing account. If you already have an Affinity Store account click that option, if not click to create a new account and follow the process to get your new account set up.  Once this is completed your license will be unlocked and linked to your Affinity Store account. You will now be able to use the other two apps as well as the other operating systems.   Now that you've registered you can sign into your Affinity Store account in a separate step. Doing this gives you access to any bonus content you may have bought for V1 on your Affinity Store account. If you don't get the registration option when you load the program, please see this post for troubleshooting advise.
