Unlikely to help, long-term, as file names and locations will change with each update.

The thread I started on the payment problems with Affinity 2 products has been closed, and that is the right decision,
I am  lucky in that I eventually found a payment method that worked. But that  does not help a lot of people.
Having followed this thread I have concluded that
1: The banks have had to tighten up on security
2: Affinity/ Serif  have done all within their powers to resolve the difficulties.
3: There have been problems with Serif/Affinity contractors that they are still trying to resolve
4: Serif/Affinity have practical and legal difficulties in disclosing the problems they are experiencing with those contractors
5: Despite assurances from others, Serif/Affinity have not realised the reputational damage that they may/will suffer as a result of failing to look after a small, but significant, number of clients or potential clients who have experienced serious stress,
6: Too many people are passing the buck, but Affinity is not the bigest problem.
Sad though it may be, we all need to calm down and allow Serif/Affinity some room to address the individual problems and lean hard, very hard, on their contractors to sort out this mess.
I have known this company for 20 years. They do care, they do look after their customers, and I am sure that, in the end, they will do so this time. Without being able to prove it, I believe they have been badly let down by others, and i hope and trust they will be able to negotiate their way out of this mess. The argiument that the number of failed transactions is normal will not wash. Serif will, I am sure, take this seriously and endeavour to make sure that everyone who wants their V2 range can have it at a very competitive price.
I congratulate the forum mediators who have been slammed by this problem over the weekend for dealing with the issues with a degree of patience. However, I think Serif/Affinity should think a little harder about what this problem looks like from a customer point of view, The situation  has not looked good, and I just hope it improves.

This situation is developing into a reputational nightmare for Affinity.
Please give us all an undertaking that this thread will be referred to Affinity management at the highest possible level on Monday, and with the accounts and marketing  department.s

What seems to be emerging is that the problem does not lie with Affinity, and it does not lie (wholly) with the many banks involved. It MUST therefore lie with Affinity's payment contractor.Braintree. I hope I have successfully contacted Serif (the owner of Affinity) and that the issue will be taken up with the senior management, the marketing and accounts departments on Monday. Affinity is a great product, and the CEO, Ash, appears to be a good leader. I hope he is tough enough to probe this issue and resolve it before it damages the Affinity brand

As a long time Serif customer (2001 approx) I am saddened to see the extent of this problem. I hope that on Monday Ash will get involved and "kick ass". I do not know whether the problem lies within Affinity or within its card processing company Braintree. It cannot be true that the problem lies with all the banks involved.
Ash, you have created a great comapny that has been agile enough to live alongside Photoshop. You need to be agoie again to get this issue fixed.

It seems one is only able to make feature requests relating to Ipad. Sorry. Not all of us use Ipad.
As I can find no other location, I am posting here.
Having heard that Serif are withdrawing support for WebPlus I have sought alternatives. Currently I am trying to remodel my website in WordPress which is widely used. It is horribly clunky compared to WebPlus. Is there any possibility that Serif might reconsider its decision to abandon WebPlus?
I feel it is a bit like Betamax, which lost out to VHS, even though it was superior, It would be a tragedy to lose WebPlus.

Yes. If I export brushes, I get a Windows dialog
I thought I would check back. If I try to export the styles category now, I also get a Windows dialog. It seems something was jammed, and is no longer jammed.
Irritating, but I suspect we will not find it now!
(Footnote: Windows has been automatically updated in recent days)

GrahamMYC got a reaction from Pariah73 in Complex selections in Affinity Photo
I hesitate to post in this august place, but I think one of my selection techniques has  not been explicitly described before.. This video is aimed at real world outdoor photography which is often taken under less than ideal conditions; and where we need to cheat because there was not a camera there when we wanted one..
This image is a composite. It was constructed in Affinity Photo.

The video is a workflow demonstration - it is not good enough to be called a tutorial.
Outdoor activities can often be difficult to photograph. My pastime is sailing, and I now have a motorboat. It is surprisingly difficult to get images of your own boat at sea. So you have to use what you can beg, borrow, or steal.
The video is about using a photo taken by a friend, taken from a moving platform(another boat) under less than ideal weather conditions. We take the image and transform it so it can be used in an entirely different context.
I have used three techniques described in official Serif Affinity videos by James Ritson. They are
    "Bringing Out Water Detail" <a href="https://vimeo.com/202899215" rel="noreferrer nofollow">vimeo.com/202899215</a>
    "HDR from one exposure" <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar6CZvfyFvk&feature=youtu.be" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar6CZvfyFvk&feature=youtu.be</a>
    "Making Images Pop"  <a href="https://vimeo.com/178575803" rel="noreferrer nofollow">vimeo.com/178575803</a>
The first part of the video deals with enhancing the basic image, including two different applications of tone mapping.
The second part deals with four different approaches to selection, to deal with different aspects of the image and how to combine them.
I have not seen the use of the pen tool to create fine detail precise selections before, but maybe I did not look far enough. So far as I know, it is a first.
The same problems apply to a lot of outdoor activities including windsurfing, climbing, motocross, horse riding. Wherever there is equipment, wild background, fine details (such as reins or ropes) then complex selection  may be needed so you can blag an exciting picture.

Stitching usually involves signatures. Ask how the printer wants the pdf. They should be producing the imposition from a pdf of single pages, which will arrange the pdf in signatures of 8, 12, 16 or whatever multiples of 4 pages.

In PagePlus it is possible to convert any vector shape into a picture frame. There is a drop down "Covert to picture frame". These frames can then be added to the asset tab.
I cannot find this in APub. Is it intended to be added later? (Hopefully before first release)
(I tried making a frame in ppage plus and copying and pasting. It did not work)

Rather than access the forum each time I need to view a tutorial, I find it easier to use this index which I have as a bookmark in  my browser

It seems to be kept pretty well up to date, but maybe Serif could publish an 'official' directory that could be accessed as a bookmark?
