  1. Yes there is. Affinity software was initially sold on the Mac app store. Those sales are Apples customers. Serif have no idea who those customers are and it breaks the store rules to have a way to find out. Affinity software was then sold on Windows, directly from our website, for the same price as on the Mac app store as we don't want to discriminate based on your choice of OS. If we give customers who buy directly from us both operating systems (for the same price as our first customers who bought from the Mac app store) that would be very unpopular and unfair. Now we have added selling the Mac version from the Affinity store and the Windows version from the Microsoft store (where customers information belongs to Microsoft and is again invisible to Serif so there is no way to offer an equivalent Mac download to those customers). All sales are at the same one price. So by charging per operating system we can treat all our customers fairly no matter when they adopt our software.
  2. The latest Windows beta 293 has a modified thumbnail provider that has its dependencies fixed. That may have been the problem. Please resave in the latest beta and let us know, thanks
  3. We have reproduced the crash and reported it to the developers. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
  4. Do you get the same result for a "new document", as the rulers are showing corrupt too, which implies a graphics card problem or just possibly a colour profile issue.
  5. screenshot shows picture.PNG. I suspect some unsupported bit depth or colour format
  6. Do you have a different version of that PNG file somewhere? When I save that one, from the last post, I can drag drop it into the app without a problem. What application are you drag/dropping from ? Explorer? a browser?
  7. If you are an owner of the software, please try the latest Affinity Photo customer beta. We have now added support for the Fuji X-T100 While the software is in a beta phase, you will find a download link to the latest beta software builds in a pinned post at the top of each macOS and Windows Photo beta forum
  8. If you are an owner of the software, please try the latest Affinity Photo customer beta. We have now added support for the Nikon P1000 While the software is in a beta phase, you will find a download link to the latest beta software builds in a pinned post at the top of each macOS and Windows Photo beta forum
  9. @SuseH Welcome to the Serif affinity forums Alfred has put you on the right tracks I think. Glad you are enjoying the software
  10. We are struggling to replicate this problem. Please can those who have it tell us if you have any clipboard manager working? Please can you also confirm this is not (currently) true of 1.6.5, thanks

  12. Quite right William, I copy pasted that from a reply where someone wanted to share the files "anonymously". So my reply was about that case. I have edited the post to provide more clarity.
  13. @yebyte Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Thanks for the recipe for this crash. @Sean P Please try to replicate this and report it.
  14. @ccath Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Thanks for your report. As Alfred says we will have to make some code changed to cope with these new type of fonts.
  15. @Jon P Please add this improvement to the database,as without it the font cannot be used properly, exposing the bug in the screenshot.
  16. Since build #238 You can change the contents of the Author field used in your documents "Fields Author field can now be overridden by supplying default with no documents open" All new documents should populate Author with this default set when no document is open. All existing documents will use the current default when the document is saved. It does mean that you need to change it manually for existing documents. Set the default with no document open (if you are needing to hide this field in a public document, set it to empty or a pseudonym) Change Author manually on any existing document Save the document and the default will be written to "last edited by".
  17. This will not be part of Affinity Publisher 1.7 but there's lots of websites where you can generate an image, in any number of QR-code formats, for free. Then insert the image
  18. I would expect us to have an Affinity Designer iPad update (with most/all of the 1.7 new features) around the same time as desktop releases or shortly after. We can see your use case is a sensible one but I cannot say when this feature will be available on iPad, sorry.
  19. @SlateGrey Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Thank you for your useful contributions to the forums (so far).
  20. Thanks for this I will have it reported. The X ruler is also wrong on portrait pages of a document with a mix of landscape and portrait pages. As I expect you know the ruler origin can be reset on these pages with a double-click on the ruler top left area.
  21. @Zalel Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums There isn't a PDF of the Affinity Designer help file as a PDF, sorry. (There isn't really a current Affinity Designer Help in iBook either, as the one in this thread is very old I think. ) Serif own the copyright on their documentation and do not approve of the help file being converted to other formats. The help file for the desktop version is online here http://affinity.help/designer and here http://affinity.help/photo
  22. Fortunately the document is saved, but any other unsaved open documents will be lost. We will resolve this problem before the next update, sorry that this was missed.
