Dedi Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Can you add feature that's not rasterized embedded image or file after edited by mesh warp tool, so that i can still edited the original image/file. Thank you Adam_D, kirk23, NotMyFault and 7 others 10 Quote
StimoloGR Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Please add Mesh Warp Live filter in next release! It is an indispensable feature for me! samramsan and cgartists 1 1 Quote
Adam_D Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 This feature, yes! With the recently vastly improved support for Photoshop smart objects, this is the last piece of what's needed for a lot of my workflow - non-destructive mesh warps. The attached .jpeg shows the difference between what photoshop allows me to do in mocking up a label application on a round object (slight curves to follow shape of object) vs what imports into Affinity photo (stretched, flat shape with no curvature distortion unless I first rasterize it). cgartists 1 Quote
Tupaia Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Yes, please! Same goes for the Perspective Tool - or any other tool that transforms, bends, warps, whatever, a bitmap layer. I was (negatively) surprised recently when I learned that the Perspective Tool is destructive. That does not fit well in the picture, so to speak. Thanks! cgartists 1 Quote

That is certainly useful to have in my toolkit! The request for non-destructive mesh warps is still high on my wishlist - there are so many more instances than could be covered by this (or similar) macros that I still turn to Photoshop to accomplish and the more that I can accomplish in Affinity Photo, the happier I am ☺️ John Rostron, samramsan and cgartists 3 Quote
cgartists Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 I concur - this would be VERY useful. samramsan 1 Quote www.cgartists.eu
Ryan R. Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 +1 to this suggestion. I've just begun to dabble in hobbyist image editing over just the past year and am already feeling the pain of having only a destructive mesh warp tool. samramsan 1 Quote
