mhz
first of all....duh....they don't make pageplus anymore!!! Second of all if I wanted to use Adobe I would....I prefer Serif products and if you work at Serif and you criticized me you should look up my account and see how many products I have. And of course I know how to make my own labels but without mail/data merge capabilities that ability is a moot point!! debiant
walt.farrell
The only response so far in this thread from a Serif staff member is the one from @Patrick Connor. All others have been from community members. You can tell the Serif staff by their Staff badges and by them being moderators (assuming you're not reading the forum on a small-screen device such as a phone). Grandadjim
Hmm, I think I understand MHZ's frustration - as a long time supporter of Serif, I like many others were hoping that PagePlus X9 would have been the starting point for Publisher, by that I mean we hoped for a new UI and for greater flexability with the ability to produce industry standard work, but with all of the PPX9 facilities. There is no doubt, if I do purchase Publisher, I will have to keep PPX9 - it is just so user friendly with lots of useful facilities that to date have not been replicated within Publisher. In my opinion the addition of many PPX9 features would certainly enhance Publisher.

Yes, that would be great, we understand. PagePlus code was 25+ years in the making with between 3 and 7 staff. Its not been possible to add "all the facilities" that our Plus range had into the Affinity range yet. Over time more features will be added, including some that required the start from scratch approach in order to be achieved, like file interchange with Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo and multi-OS support. Consequently we acknowledge that the new suite is not a 1-2-1 replacement for PagePlus, PhotoPlus and DrawPlus and the Affinity range needs assessing on it's own merits. hawk, Old Bruce, ctate0617 and 1 other 4 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program!
