Paul Mudditt
On 2/23/2018 at 11:26 PM, DM1 said: Thanks Paul. So it is necessary to rasterise the canvas to get inpainting to infill on a blank canvas. That makes sense as the pixel layer has been moved / cropped exposing the canvas. I am intrigued how the macro inpaint is able to fill all edges. Does it inpaint the whole image layer? If not how (in 2 steps) does it fill all edges. I assume the first step in macro is to 'rasterise'. Dave Correct :-), inpaint2crop2 by Jim Welsh macro steps are:- 1. Rasterise 2. Select partially transparent 3. Grow / shrink selection 5.4px 4. inpainting 5. deselect Mud’s Macros SelectionFromLayer - convert a layer into a pixel selection SelectAllLayers - select all layers quickly DeSelectAllLayers - de select all layers quickly PencilPortrait - Convert Photo to pencil sketch (Credit: Alpha Sierra, YouTube) InpaintCrop2 - fix edges after a straighten crop (Credit: Jim Welsh) https://www.dropbox.com/s/3a0bs8trpqy0iow/Mud's Macros.afmacros?dl=0 Fan Pages https://www.facebook.com/groups/affinityforipad/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/AffinityPhoto/ Edited July 24, 2018 by Paul Mudditt Fixed link Patrick Connor and DM1 2 My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools…. DM1
@Paul Mudditt Paul are you able to Open in Cloud from Dropbox and have the Save update the Dropbox file? I thought this was working fine but since updating it no longer saves in place. Dropbox updated two days ago so that may have effected something too. I posted a video on the bug thread but haven't heard back from Serif yet. Just wondering if it is my setup or more widespread. Changes appear to be there but after saving then deleting from Project the Dropbox version has lost all edits. Paul Mudditt 1 M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). In fairness, the setting under preferences is iCloud Drive or On My iPad so only those two options work. Until the functionality is extended to support any alternative cloud service like a Dropbox I can’t see it being possible. Edit: It’s a Dropbox problem, I have now tested workflow successfully using other folders that I created in iCloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud and Box. Google drive doesn’t work either. Guess we will have to wait for updates from Dropbox and Google. DM1 1 My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools…. Yes I posted quite some time back that Serif have used the same underlying software engine on all platforms so that some functionality that is missing from the iPad can be transferred via macros from the desktop version. The command Inpaint is one of them as is SelectionFromLayer, SelectAllLayers, DeSelectAllLayers which I also include in my Mud’s Macros download. Although inpaint was included in the crop tool I have now added it in as a separate option if you want to try it. When you get to the point, after rasterising :-), that you want to inpaint the four corners, just run the inpaint macro which runs the single desktop command inpaint. Mud’s Macros SelectionFromLayer - convert a layer into a pixel selection SelectAllLayers - select all layers quickly DeSelectAllLayers - de select all layers quickly PencilPortrait - Convert Photo to pencil sketch (Credit: Alpha Sierra, YouTube) InpaintCrop2 - fix edges after a straighten crop (Credit: Jim Welsh) Inpaint - the inpaint option from the desktop. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ywn4s3a7o5ot6cf/Mud's Macros.afmacros?dl=0 If you load it in again you might end up with 2 macro menus Mud’s Macros and Mud’s Macros 2 so you might want to delete the first version if you want to try the new version. The only difference I noted in a quick comparison was that the iPads Studio filters provide an option to change the (standard) filter into a 'live' filter. If you choose 'live', a pop up issues a warning relating to memory usage. The macros insert a 'live' filter. No warning. Maybe they are 'different' in the sense that a naturally live filter (as in the macro version) uses less memory than a live filter 'generated' from the standard filter listed in the Studio Filters? Just guessing though. Alfred 1 M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). affinitytutorials
I can not open Affinity Photo, the testflight build has expired. That´s not good guys. I was working on some important documents and now i can not open them. My fault that i didn‘t save all my documents to my iCloud server. Is there any chance for a new build or and old one which i can use to prevent loosing all my data inside of Affinity Photo. Please help Serif. Best regards Frank Edit: I figured that my Affinity Photo Build 1.6.7.76 was opened. A workaround what might help you too. 1. Double click on the home button and check if Affinity Photo is still active and opened. 2. Open a document what you want to backup 3. Go to document - save copie - choose a name and click save - choose a folder in your iCloud - Done The problem is that i can not close Affinity Photo Beta, because i don‘t know if the App Store Version of Affinity Photo is able to open the beta files, like the desktop counter part.
