Gordon L
For years I've used PagePlus for my Christmas Card mail labels. My computer with PagePlus has died but I exported the data to a spreadsheet. Can I import and print the data into an Avery label template on AP? Does anyone know where to find such a template? Thanks in advance. BobMoyer
Avery.com has a complete listing of free templates in various formats for their labels. I have successfully used them with the Affinity line of products.
Gordon L
Thanks you. I had a look but Avery.com doesn't recognise my label number. I guess this is because its a UK A4 size label. The Avery UK website has the correct template but only for MS Word. However, it does have its own online version that appears to work well so I'll use that come December. MikeTO
It appears that Avery.co.uk offers only MS Word templates while Avery.com also offers PDF, InDesign, Pages, and more. I checked the standard 7160/5160 sizes. When scripting becomes available, I might write a script to generate Publisher templates for every Avery label size. I've done this before for another application and it's an easy script to write. They're docx format but it still won't work if you convert them to docx. Even if you draw a text frame the exact right size (you'll need to calculate the size using the template's margins), the template's shapes will be in the wrong locations in Publisher and the table for data entry will be the wrong size, so the text won't align with the labels. I tried it and the result was a mess. It would be better to use the move / duplicate feature to build your own template. walt.farrell 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
wonderings
there are free online converts for word to PDF. https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/word-to-pdf?x_api_client_id=adobe_com&x_api_client_location=word_to_pdf Not sure if that is free or if you need an adobe account. If not free there are others that come up with a simple google search. A template is easy, but not necessary. In a matter of minutes you could have a document market out with the spacing required for what you plan to print onto the Avery label sheets. You are going to have to step and repeat anyways to fill up a page, measuring out the first label and the space between is not all that much more to do. If you open a .doc in LibreOffice you can convert it to PDF from there, but I don't know if that helps to create label templates in APub. Personally I've always found it easier to create my own templates! pioneer
Just as a thought, in the short term would it not solve the problem by just reinstalling pageplus on your PC? Xmas card labels Avery 7160 I think is the template I use for my Xmas card from PagePlus. PageplusX9 works fine on my win11 PC. Quote AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X. Gordon L
Thanks to all for the knowledgeable comments. My old PP disc and install code is long gone. I'd find creating my own template beyond me I think. I will investigate the suggestions for converting a word template or, as mentioned, the Avery online version looks doable.

US size 5160 is 1″ × 2.625″ (30 labels per US Letter sheet) but UK size L7160 is 1.5″ × 2.5″ (21 labels per A4 sheet). Not the same animal at all! The L7xxx series of UK Avery labels is intended for use with laser printers. There’s also a J8xxx series for inkjet printers, but since the sizes and layouts are exactly the same we don’t need to concern ourselves with the slight difference in numbering.
