Alex_M
As the title says. I don't have any masks in the BG group or in the layers inside it, yet the background is not showing. This didn't happen with 1.8 which this document was made with. Please see attached a screen shot as well as the document (in low-res). background_not_showing_bug.afphoto Quote Affinity Photo 2.4.2 for Windows ◾ OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 ver. 22H2 ◾ CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X 16-core ◾ RAM: 64 GB DDR5-6400 ◾ GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Suprim X 24GB / driver 526.98 ◾ NVMe SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB ◾ Monitors: 2x Eizo ColorEdge CS2420 24"
Joachim_L
On Trees Left and Trees Right you have for both a Gaussian Blur with 0px. Removing this FX on both layers repairs the document ... I think. Wosven
Did you tried switching on/off some layers? I had to do this to refresh the image in the previous version.
Ron P.
I moved the sliders back and forth for the Gaussian Blur Filters and they appeared. Wosven
It seems the exposure adjustement can't work out of thin air, without being applied to an image or a group. If I group the layers composing the sky and apply the Exposure adjustement to this group, it's fine.
Alex_M
To clarify, this problem did not appear in 1.8 in which this document was created with. Everything was working perfectly fine and without workarounds until I installed 1.8.2. Once I opened it with 1.8.2, the document stopped work properly. Staff Chris B Posted March 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2020 There's definitely an issue here. It's strange how slightly nudging the slider causes this issue to appear/disappear. I'm really not sure what's happened so I'm just going to log it with the developers. Sorry for the trouble Alex. Ron P.
Here's a little more info, After manipulating the sliders, I closed the document without saving it. I waited a couple of minutes then opened it again, to find the same problem. So again I manipulated the sliders, then saved the document upon closing. Re-opened and this time the background was no longer transparent. Quote Affinity Photo 2.4..; Affinity Designer 2.4..; Affinity Publisher 2.4..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Wosven
Here (win7), moving the blur sliders only add a white bg, but dont restore the sky.
Wosven
Playing with the blur effects and the Exposure adjustement give no consistent results (at first, I had no sky or half the bottom white part of it after moving the sliders). Ron P.
There's a few different things that can be done which allows the background/sky to be seen. Turning the exposure adjustment layer off, removing it from the BG Group, manipulating sliders. Also if you change the Blend Mode for the BG Group from PassThrough to Normal, the sky is opaque. Wosven
There's a problem with the adjustement layers and the (at least) blur effect.
