  1. When modifying hte opacity of a colour, the swatch/round/rectangle that shows the colour should display the colour at 100%, not lighter (colour panel) or darker (gradient panel).
  2. We can modify a global colour from the tint panel, but this way, the swatch color match the tint percentage instead of the 100% new global colour.
  3. Put the subtitles on and read them if it can help (on Youtube), or slow down the video if it can help. I'm French and better at reading than hearing, and the more important is when it's speaked clearly so I could understand. I think Serif did a good job with the tutorials.
  4. You won't be able to copy and paste part of an image in a channel. You'll have to convert your channels to B&W layers, paste and merge the part you want, etc. For us who played a lot with channels this way, it's a loss.
  5. That's possible, it was available in the CDs given in magazines for PC for long. I used XNview on Mac, but there should be other free apps too now.

    tool bar.

Hi, You can open again you RAW file, and edit it. APhoto didn't erase the original, so you can import and develop it how many times you want! Try to use the history or don't develop it if you make errors.
  7. You can try to resize the History panel, or perhaps getting it out and in the main panel again will do the trick:
  8. PS mock-up won't work in AP, since smart objects aren't reconized and are rasterized.

Channels are usefull when you can have good contrats, here, we can see JPEG artifacts, and the image seems to be an already cut out image flattened on a grey background (worst colour for contrast since all channel have the same amount of colour with a neutral grey), and exported as lower resolution.
  10. Replacing text by Lorem ipsum and having empty picture frames is a good way to create a "template", with the appropriate name. This way, you'll know where to replace texts and pictures without doubt. You only keep the recurring items, and update them when needed.
  11. That's not the first post in another language, and there are longer than this one you didn't complain about. We can manage and translate those post if we want, or not and let people who are able to reply do it since they'll use better sentence that what can be produce by Google translate about technical terms specific to fields or applications that'll end up as galimatias. Some can read and reply in English, but not all of us, and we can be suspicious of Google translate… some translations are more fun than accurate. Most of the time, people able to help in the OP language will do it, if they don't miss the post, and that's a nice side of this forum.
  12. Hi, On AD .445 (because some bugs prevent me to use last versions), it's impossible to add a second style with a stroke of a different width, and the only solution is to add a new category to save this style. But there's another bug: I tried again today — why not? another day, another AD behaviour?! — to add another stroke with a different width and a different pressure curve, and this actions deleted all styles from the 2 previous categories with styles of the same ilk!!!! Going back in the history or reopening the file didn't restored the styles in those categories.
  13. +1 I had to use a colour adjustement layer to work on a background of the same blue as the guides and frames, or I wouldn't have been able do distinguish them.

    Affinity photo colour palette

Hi, Jungle or Nature palette as in this page? You'll find their product here: https://www.frankentoon.com/product-page/concept-master-vol-1-nature
  15. Oh damn! I'm not a morning person… And I need more coffee to open my eyes before complaining about bugs Sorry @Sean P, I never search the styles, and didn't think about it.
  16. No, I didn't, that's why there some errors, like the "Y" and the ">", and some part on the arms. This isn't enough for complexe hair… that's always a pain to do. With those, perhaps doing a selection from the channel, and using this selection and a black brush on the mask can help. But if the hair and the background a in similar tones, it's nearly impossible to do. At least for me
  17. That's tricky in other apps too. With APub you need to select back "no change" or similar, but the best is to apply again the based on style, and do the few modifications before creating the new style. Another solution is to use the "Reset formatting" button before modifying the style (perhaps keeping the style on another paragraph to check the parameters): Usually, once I've got a test paragraph with nice modifications, I would create a new paragraph with pure "cck_Body", apply only the needed modifications using the Paragraph or Character panel, (checking with the test paragraph if needed), and once done, use the "Add para/char style" buttons in the Text styles panel.
  18. There's a problem with your style. It should be based on Body, but when looking at the differences, or added parameters, there's so many of them that it looks like a new style. cck2v2.afpub
  19. @princatko I was able to re-upload _PP_1254 but not the other one, each time it show the real size of the file after upload, but if I try to edit the post, the size is wrong
  20. Hi, I know it was already improve once, but it's not enough. The overflow red dot (or triangle for flowing to another frame) is only visible depending of the height of the frame: if we zoom out to create and adjust a new frame, it disappears. And the level of zoom needed for it to appear can be important! For example, if I need to flow ±325 footnotes on 250 pages, needing sometimes only 1 line at the bottom, I'll have to zoom in/zoom out 500 times! Second bug with this: it's impossible to find overflow in small frames if the zoom level doesn't allow enough space between the blue nodes of a frame to display the red dot. Looking for overflow with a zoom of 270% on a document isn't a good workflow. While in text mode those indicators should be displayed, and perhaps bigger when zooming out, so it's easier to click on them. They should be shown with other tools too, but smaller.

    Add Style from Selection

Or being able to edit styles the same way we can edit adjustement layers (panel with options).
  22. It doesn't happen everytimes, but sometimes I need too to close AD to modify files o Win 10.

    Text Style/Flow Issue

It's very usefull since you know how many lines of text you need your editor or client to suppress so it will fit on your page, or you know how many lines you need to recover (using different tricks like tighter justification here and there) in the previous pages for your text to end at this point. No need to expand the frame to check how many lines are out… and resize it one it's done.
  24. You can do better spending more time on it. The inpainting tool can be confused if there's not enough pattern around to use, or enough regular pattern (and those feathers are confusing, trying to reproduce them logically isn't easy!). In this case it's using the green more often than the feathers.
  25. @princatko Hi, Here the files, I mainly adjusted the one on white background for the hairs, and completely forget to check the masks —as can be seen with rhis screenshot! — but the selections weren't bleeding like yours. Try to modify some parameters in the reffine panel. We don't need a perfect selection, the outside is covered with the layer without "white paper", this one is only to have the inside on white background easily. If there's a little bit transparency on some hairs, it should feel more natural on another colour, since usually this colour appears in the hairs. Speed = errors The channels can be effective, especially when working in CMYK, when needing to select the sky: using the yellow channel help a lot. It's not helpfull with hairs or faces that contains a lot of subtle colours, unless you need to correct a bad picture with red faces! I use less this technique in AP since I don't find it as easy than with another app.a
