Like on my Mac, I do not get a "Connection failed" notice, but on the iPad when I enter any search term & tap "Search" I just get a never-ending spinner to the left of the search field. Switching to Pixabay or Unsplash gets immediate results, which I think which rules out a general connection issue at my end. Pixabay and Unsplash allow the category to be selected from the Stock Panel, with immediate results shown in the Stock Panel. But when I choose Pexels and enter a category (i.e. sky) nothing happens. But if I leave the category blank and click on the gearwheel, the website opens immediately and I can enter any category I wish with immediate results. But you can't just drag anything from Pexels in the Stock panel directly into an Affinity document like you can with Pixabay or Unsplash as the source, right? What a great site! They seem to have a very precise search engine as well. Enter "tiger" and you get stuff with stripes.
