Przemysław Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Hi, The Stock panel worked for me in Beta of Photo, but with release of the final version I get "connection failed". I'm working on W10. Any ideas? Quote W11, Dell G5, i7, 64GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2600, Wacom Intuos Pro M + iPad Pro 2018. sakrajda.eu
Staff Chris B Posted June 27, 2019 Staff Posted June 27, 2019 Hey Przemysław, As far as I know, only users with Windows 7 have been experiencing the 'Connection failed' message. The main thread can be found here:https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/88295-stocks-tab-unsplash-not-working/&page=2 However I believe the fix being discussed only applies to Windows 7 but it may be worth having a read anyway. I think we may need to do something about this as expecting users to modify the registry isn't really a solution. Przemysław Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 It works OK in the most recent Betas. I have this problem on both my PCs, on work PC I can't edit registry anyway. Quote W11, Dell G5, i7, 64GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2600, Wacom Intuos Pro M + iPad Pro 2018. sakrajda.eu

PaulEC Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Yes - didn't help. Funny thing is, they all used to work, a while back Unsplash ans Pixabay stopped working, and just today i noticed that Pexels has also stopped. To be honest it's not a major problem, I can just go to their websites. Just a minor irritation! Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 14, 2020 Staff Posted January 14, 2020 Sorry to hear that. We will look out for a recipe/similarities with other reports. (No problem here). Does the Welcome screen still show adverts? PaulEC 1 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 14, 2020 Staff Posted January 14, 2020 I take that back, my Pexels is now not working in Photo or Publisher (was an hour ago) Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! PaulEC Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 I normally have the welcome screen turned off, but, yes, that seems fine. (FWIW - It's the same in Publisher.) VolkerMB Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Yes, can confirm: Pexels is not working here, too. Patrick Connor 1 Quote
jrsnbsch Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 I'm getting the same message with Pexels (Connection failed) in both Photo and Publisher. It was working on December 31, 2019. Unsplash and Pixabay are working. Patrick Connor 1 Quote
Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 17, 2020 Staff Posted January 17, 2020 @jrsnbsch Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums We think this is a recent change to Pexels affecting all customers on all OS's (If Pexels stock search is still working for any other readers of this thread feel free to correct me)) Chris B 1 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! PaulEC Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Update - when I first said that none of them were working I was using my work PC. I don't often use the stock tab at home, but I just checked and Pexels is the only one saying "connection failed", the other two are working OK.
