  1. Hi everyone! I'm a calligrapher, and I've just opened my calligraphy business - clearly the first thing to do.... create my logo! I did the calligraphy with a Wacom tablet and then edited the lines a bit etc to make it neater / thicker where needed. Simple but fun... and now onto the rest of the tutorial videos
  2. A picture inspired by a Herefordshire apple orchard I visited a few years ago where there was a carpet of daisies between the trees. Enjoying using Affinity Designer on my iPad rather too much!

  6. For a current project - made out of a lot of crescent shapes and a few ellipses. The dark colour grey came from the politico . eu website, the yellows/brown from a marketing design set we own. Langauges are English/Welsh (Cymraeg).
  7. Once again I thought I would share something produced on AD using my iPad and iMac combo. This sequence is for an article about how delivering information isn't enough - it's what the student does with it that provides the best indication of what was learnt. Anyways.
  8. estoy muy contento con la infinidad, puedes hacer realmente cosas sorprendentes en lo particular me da mucha alegría cuando sacan una nueva actualización y poder probar
  9. Dashboard for Air-Monitoring design practices Idea from air purifier engine, I've finished this work with Affinity Designer.
  10. Hi all, This is one of my latest projects for the Scooterola brand. If you can't see the video here, you can get it on http://scooterola.com/index.php/2019/02/24/the-illuminati-stole-my-scooter/ It's hand drawn, vectorised and worked up in AD. I made a little 4 minute film of the process below: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lP0KV1V15jw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

  12. Working on a logo/sq business card design for the fotographie side of what I do inside of Designer. Love the way I was able to use the K&T initials of my middle name to form the camera. Happy with the progress so far... Allan
  13. Hi all, here's something very different from my usual and a bit of a personal challenge on a recent illustration project. Denman Digital in Vancouver hired me to create a series of images for a project they were doing for their client the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) here in Canada. The Hunting in Canada Field Guide lays out the traditional methods, tools and prey Indigenous people used and continue to use to survive and thrive in Canada's northern frontiers. This project is a web companion piece to their Moosemeat and Marmalade adventure cooking show on APTN. https://aptn.ca/moosemeatandmarmalade/ Almost every aspect of these illustrations utilized the pixel persona in Designer. I could've use Photo exclusively for this but I am much more comfortable and familiar with Designer and the process is basically the same. I created a bunch of new custom brushes as well as used many of Designers default and user-contributed brushes for this. I was rather pleased with the final outcomes and have since started adding more of this pixel painting workflow to my usual work. Rather than upload a bunch of images here I'll point you to a few links on my Behance site below and leave just a few images here. The project was broken down into 3 areas: Prey, Hunting Tools and Hunting Strategies. https://www.behance.net/gallery/77640277/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Prey https://www.behance.net/gallery/77647417/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Tools https://www.behance.net/gallery/77647933/Hunting-in-Canada-Field-Guide-for-APTN-Strategies Much thanks to Denman Digital and APTN. :-)

  16. Hallo zusammen, habe vor geraumer Zeit mal eine Armbanduhr im Designer gezeichnet. Hello everybody, some time ago I drew a wristwatch in the designer.
  17. A new drawing has landed in my portfolio https://www.bodobe.de/miss-butterfly/
  18. Re-designed my Clients Music Artist's logo for a stronger and yet simple feel. The old logo might still be here (www.soundcloud.com/HolySKITXO) Critiques and Compliments appreciated.
  19. I created this cute little penguin character in Designer. He started out as some basic shapes and I converted them to curves and added them together. Then I tweaked the resulting shape to create his body.
  20. Finally laid down the flat shapes. Any advice on how to make those random red blobs have a more natural flow? Or generally how best to model such a shape. Thank you! (Not my character. Mermaid design based off of Eleanor Forte.)
  21. Hi everyone, I want to share my very positive experience working with Affinity Designer and Photo. For the past 4 months I have been working on designing large booths, walls, signage and other printed materials for a huge congress with over 30 000 participants. We had tight production deadlines from our external suppliers plus I had to design all the proposals, manage communication and do several revision rounds and after that export print data. All went very well thanks to Affinity Designer and Photo. These programs handled big oversized artboards, gigabytes of TIFF images and export so smoothly I couldn't believe it. The best thing I liked was having one document per one lounge with many many different artboards which gave me flexibility to make a huge wall and small flyer with the same design in one application. Also the ability to export print ready PDFs and some JPGs in Export Persona was a huge time saver! Exporting 2400DPI PDFs was just smooth. Most of the work was done in Affinity, very very small percentage in Illustrator and 3D stuff in Blender. Here are photos and renders of some of the things which were produced. To me this was quite a successful journey. Thanks Affinity team for great products and keep going!
  22. Hello, friends. Tonight I could not sleep and I decided to draw something for the soul. This is what I did, Affinity DesignPad. I would be grateful for the support on Dribbble
