Now that we have reached that point of realization,I believe Affinity Designer (also for Photo) should now have a "Clip to Bellow" or "Clip to Layer" button. It should be located somewhere on the toolbar and should work like this: Select a layer (pixel or vector)/Object (text or shape) then click the "clip to Layer" or "clip to Bellow" to start drawing or painting or doing something else in clipping mask mode straight. Not only Painters, Artist or logo designer will like it but ... It will help work faster and clip very fast. Please also keep the drag to below (that one we currently use to clip things), other style of works may need it still. Blessings ! -
Does anyone know of a company that sells T-shirt logo templates to use with Affinity Designer? Like Vector Labs, but his stuff states doesn’t work with Affinity. I know some of his stuff does but don’t want to chance it. Any help is appreciated. Looking to just load a template and modify the text and fonts. Thanks. -

Been trying out Affinity Designer Trial for a while now, and i love it. Only concern i have right know will designers of all kinds be able to sell their work? As most people or customers out there require the format .AI from illustrator as well as the other formats .eps, .svg, .jpeg and so on. Any tips for this concern? I also use illustrator but im thinking about switching to Affinity Designer on full time. Thank you! -

So I only deal with vector art because I design t shirts and it needs to be vectorized. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.. I’m trying to get an American flag to completely cover or ‘mask’ a figure that’s my original artwork for a Fourth of July design... I’ve tried the “mask to below method” but when I export as a pdf it still comes out rasterized which I can’t have... does anyone know what I’m doing wrong or could help me/ explain to me how add these layers together and have it come out vectorized? Thank you all so much! -

I'm completely new to using Affinity Designer or making logos, so please correct me if I'm using incorrect terminology. I noticed that a lot of company branding resources show how their branding involves variables and math. For example, Twitter and Product Hunt. How do you make designs that use variables and math? For example, making a triangle with A, B, and C degrees or drawing a line from the midpoint of another line. I am coming from Fusion 360 which is very manufacturing oriented (and has very little overlap with AD), so precise angles and lengths are very easy to specify, but AD seems to be a lot more freehand oriented. -
Hi all- New here! I'm trying to figure out how to write words in my logos (I know, the typing tool). What I mean is how do people write the words of a company name- do you usually download custom fonts from online websites, and if not, how does one make their own font? Maybe @ostrysharpcould help- I really loved your work in this feed. -
hi together, is there a way to create a logo, which can be added to a 360 degree panorama (for e. g. to be used within facebook), within affinity photo ipad version? i have seen some tutorialqs for photoshop but i am wondering how create such logos with affinity photo on the ipad. thanks in advance for your answers.

What do you guys think about the logos being updated? I think they look pretty poor. More like this? I was a lot more strict geometrically. Don't mind criticism.

I'm a member of a Music Production/DJ group called Ultimate Rejects (UR). This piece was made using vectors and alot of stroke work with customized pressure graphs. The hand to the left is making the letter 'U' symbol in sign language and the hand on the right is making the letter 'R'. The hands were difficult too draw by memory as I'm not a natural artist so i drew it on paper first and imported a snapshot into the project. The image on the cap is our logo. Paying for artwork for our albums and singles became costly so I purchased AD & AP in Oct. 2016 so I def consider myself one of the 'day ones' lol. ~ Joel - Self taught Graphic Designer.

Greetings! Im a new bird to the whole picture editing black magic, so don't destroy me if something is too obvious. I'm a part of a small rugby team here in germany and because I'm curently unactive because of my injury i decided to help my team out by doing some PR and Comercial stuff. Now i got a task of converting an PNG and PDF image in to a vector based data so we can make our youngsters some new jerseys ,and i got stuck. Who would have thought the images are not of great quality. I already tryed it by marking the letters and, not with very much sucsess, croping them out but i always seem to get lost in the comands. Me and my team would be very gratefull if some of You could help us climb this stormy mountain. -

Hi everyone, I'm working on a logo and I'm trying to get rid of 2 filled sections of some triangles, the outlines are already done but the fill is still there, the area that I want to clear is the red crossed out part, does anyone know how to do this? The way I was thinking to do is just clear the fill and use shapes to fill it in instead, merge those and then select the colour, but I feel like that'll take longer than other solutions I've attached a screenshot Thanks

Hi, I am designing a circular logo through affinity designer. I am having trouble removing the reset art board so that I can export my image just as the circle. I have been looking everywhere but I have not found a solution. I already set the background to transparent when I set up the document but it will not save without it. Essentially, I am wondering how to remove the background and save my design as a circle instead of also saving the white space background on the art board. Any help would be amazing I have been looking for so long and I am very frustrated! Thanks!
