  11. Hey Carlos! do you mind sharing/showing the log design with us? How about a more no destructive method like select > select color range and then click the black part the refine button and use the refine tool. part of this technique was used in my video for creating custom brushes.
  12. There are some tips to using the refine feature explained in this video as well: Would you mind sharing your file so I can take a look at the complexity and provide you with a more specific answer to your problem. Cheers, Ronnie
  13. Hi Dave, Welcome to the community! That feature not available at the moment. Those features are on the roadmap. Your next question will probably be when will it be available. There no set time as to when it will be added, but it is on their list of what is to come. My guess would be not til the end of the year when they launch their third application called Affinity Publisher. for more info on the roadmap refer to this link: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/842-affinity-designer-feature-roadmap/ Cheers, Ronnie
  14. Yes, I am still on Maverick on my main machine and testing Yosemite on my other machine. I am not switching over until I positive everything I use works with little or no issue. The new motion update only works with Yosemite of course, so I am sure I gonna have to bite the bullet soon. Right now, I have too much client work going to make the full jump in the middle of some projects. I am trying to get off the Adobe nipple period. I am slowly working towards using a handful of none adobe apps in my workflow. The problem I am running into at the moment is when I have to turn files over to some clients I have to give it to them in some sort of Adobe file format. Adobe has such a strong hold none creative don't think anything else is "professional" or they just think it to0 much to learn how to use anything else. I am working hard to convince them otherwise. Funny the looks I get when I say I using anything else but adobe but the final product is just as good and some cases better. better for me because I can work faster in other tools like Affinity line of products.
  15. Dave you teasing us? I don't see anything either.
  16. Shmoo, I love Lynda.com too. It is one if the top subscription based services for creatives. I do have a course on a competitive education platform. Have you considered it? I have my own particular style of teaching. You can check out the course in the link provided in my signature below. Read the reviews from some of my previous students and watch some of the free demo videos to get a feel for the course. Let me know if you have any further questions.
  17. I hear that! its almost summer time are these people suppose to be on vacation. Honestly, I can't complain either
  18. "(you know how you are!!)" Haha Nice job! love you color choice and nice touch with the work you did with the number. Welcome to the community!
  19. You bring up a good point about AP not being photoshop. It made me think when photoshop came out it wasn't"photoshop". Photoshop came to be what it is today because of the way it was being used by the consumer. It was not meant to be what it has come to be. You set out to do one thing and find out interesting things about how people use your product in a way you had not envisioned. We are already defining what AP and AD is. The intention is the goal, but the magic happens when something exceeds expectations and evolves beyond the vision.
