I was also looking for a solution to this problem. The alternative of select pages when printing doesn't completely solve the problem when you have page numbering because obviously, the counter pages will not be correct.
Any change this feature will be available sometime?

I would like to put my two cents worth of requests in for an additional product that I see a great potential for, animation.  Currently, there are many products for animation such as Toon Boom's Harmony, Moho, Adobe Animate, TV Paint Animation, and Blender's Grease Pencil. But none of these have the ability that Affinity has provided with combining the seamless workflow between the Affinity software. Applying Designer and Photo to an animation software would allow for the ultimate use of the animation creation process, simplifying the process, and provide the best workflow for anyone to achieve quick and polished work. Many of the above listed software have tools to create the vector and bitmaps, but most of them don't provide the abilities and ease that Affinity has.

    Thank you for listening.

I'm really happy using this software, and I have noticed that bridge allow to have a 100% view of the photo by pressing the space bar. It will be great if affinity photo allow you automatically fit the photo at 100% on the screen, without nothing else. Just one more tab to make the magic work!

I'd love to abandon Indesign, but HTML export with styles is essential if I'm to purchase Publisher.

I have used other programs that export to HTML but always end up righting it myself which I now prefer. However what I would like is an HTML Blueprint export which would have all widths, heights, spacing hex colors and stuff like that showing on and between objects so as I am writing the HTML and CSS I am not having to click each object and get its dimensions, colors, fonts and so forth. This would also greatly streamline handing a layout off to someone else like an intern who may not have Affinity. I know, thy should get it...trust me I will tell them.

If HTML export is ever added to the Affinity suite, I would expect to see it in Publisher rather than Designer or Photo.

Hi. I would like to request almost the same... I do newsletters too. All graphics I do in indesign and then I make print pdf and rasterize it in photoshop. There I use rulers and slice tool to make slices. Next step is add links to slices. And final step is export to web – html and images (It makes simple html table). So my request is to make slices function to ability add the links and export to html (simple table). And use it with "export preview" what is in your to-do list already.

    Or... another Idea:
Newsletter persona, where you can modify (add links, target, etc.) slices better then in Export persona. Plus better export to html – not only images but with simple texts too. For example I would like to make unsuscribe part with texts which I want to see like text in html. I would like to "mark" specific texts what I want to see in html before export. Maybe make new part of text tool – html text, or make html part of document like special layer – there will be texts in html or some kind of html template (possibility to set align, background color, unsuscribe links, etc). I have more ideas and I can you help with it if you want. Dont worry, newsletters are simple html (because of compatibility) so Its not too complicated. Maybe, one day you can have full Newsletter persona for making complete newsletter – from graphic to html and final inline function. :-)

Is there any way to import tabular data (like a csv or a table in a textfile) into a table in Affinity Publisher? I can't seem to link or place a file in any format. If I try to copy the data, it always lands in one table-cell.
Love the Affinity-products, by the way. Great work!

Hi, I really like the develop persona.
Since an affinity "lightroom/capture One" killer do not exist : I would like to be able to use it on several RAW files at the same time like what you can do with camera raw. That way I could process thousands of pictures.

Also I would like to be able to use macro to record the develop persona (it will open up so much possiblities) or used previously saved  develop persona settings.
    ---
Not being able to develop large collections of photo make me use third party software before I can rely on affinity Photo macros to process my work.

So boring and complicated as for 2020 year.
Affinity Photo already has exif data tool, so why not to save it to XMP for next session or for using in third party software.
Can't understand and have no answer for myself.

I made timelapse that contains of 500 photo raw files.
How to process them at once? Affinity Photo doesn't save raw develop parameters.
p.s. Adobe uses XMP files for raw parameters storing.
So, it is possible to use traditional LRtimelapse software for timelapse exposure correction.
Is it possible to implement the same XMP structure for Affinity Photo RAW Develop persona?
It will made compatible Affinity Photo Raw settings with Adobe products and third party applications (for example, LRtimelapse for timelapses).

I tough I was missing something, but it seems to be an improvement opportunity for the Affinity Suite. This option has been included on Affinity Publisher (as a linking option) and it will be awesome to have it in the rest of the programs.

    Hi All,

My photography almost entirely consists of landscape astrophotography at a hobbyist level, and like so many others am looking for alternatives to Adobe due to the lack of value from their subscription model for occasion usage scenarios.
So far I am loving Affinity Photo and have found it to be one of the few affordable popular Photoshop alternatives to have really great layer and masking functionality which is essential for my genre of photography. The controls here I've found superb and so logically laid out the learning curve has been pretty insignificant. Also, the "add new stack" feature is an absolute life saver for blending dozens of photos as I tend to do.
    Anyway, to the point. One of the crown jewels of Photoshop for landscape astrophotography is the LRTimelapse plugin. The only capability of LRTimelapse I'd truly love (and have not seen in other software) is to have is the ability to apply an incremental crop to all selected layers. Idea being you set the crop on the top layer and the bottom layer, then LRTimelapse will calculate the incremental crop required on all layers in the selected stack to transition from the first layer to the last. This can be used to produce stunning vortex images that would otherwise require slow zoom motors being hooked up to you zoom lens as you actually take the images. Tutorial of how LRTimelapse does this here;

Is there anyway I can do something similar using the layers inside of Affinity Photo?

    Hi SniperSteak,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
No, currently this is not possible. Those features are usually present in digital management (DAM) software like Lightroom. Affinity Photo doesn't manage libraries/groups of images, it's a RAW converter/developer and photo editor. We already announced a DAM solution for later.
Since actions/macros are not available yet, there's no easy way to do it at the moment.

jarcon reacted to 000 in Bring back the 'old' tutorial format!!
    Hey guys,
I really, really love that the people creating the software are now recording tutorials and show how to use it. It is a fantastic idea and gives users an opportunity to feel closer to the app than ever.
However — the old tutorials were MUCH better to learn how to use Affinity! Some of your own people explain way to slow (in one video my mind strayed and I was thinking about starting a drinking game and taking a shot whenever the person said one specific word, it was really distracting) and I cannot bear to finish a video, some others are to quick and jump over things they consider unimportant, but forget that some people do not know about them without being explained in a bit more detail. In one other video, the recording of the person presenting is hiding / covering the panel they are talking about.
My suggestion is to have your programmers record a general overview video for each persona, but to get a professional educator in, to do the tutorials people learn from.
If it is about hiring someone, you could sell the videos for a small fee, maybe same a s the software a one-off payment for ALL 1.x content, then again for ALL 2.x content in the future?
What really made me sad, is to see that all the old tutorials have been removed from Vimeo — I Learned SO MUCH from them, particularly the isometric drawing one for Designer where an actual project was created was absolutely amazing! I know it is not current any more with the new ISO studIo panel, but the features presented do still exist and besides the perspective, just the information about how to use grids and the drawing tools is still valid and wonderfully presented. Please bring them back!!!
