You seem to be pressing Enter after each question, and then again to try to double space. That gives you an empty paragraph, such gets its own number or bullet.
Instead, you could insert a Line Break using the Text > Insert menu.
Or you could adjust the Space After setting in your Text Style or in the Paragraph panel to get the spacing you need.

Discussed and mentioned several times in the forum. You should be able to find some interesting posts.
My background: I have developed tens of thousands of RAW files in several programs from several cameras to achive professional results for professional purposes.
Affinity Photo is budget software with an engine based on open source software. It is mediocore. On Windows; the Apple version of Affinity use a probably better engine from Apple.
Capture One is professional software with in my opinion the best and most natural rendering of RAW files.
Also take a look at DxO Photolab.
Check out the trials on ordinary images and tricky ones. Compare portraits, skin tones, skin, hair detail, landscape photos, pictures of items and some street photography. Also pay attention til details. Not harsh digital sharpness but local contrast. Do they look natural when you look at the image fit to large screen.

I, of course, would recommend using Affinity Photo to develop your RAW files!
However I have no experience in using Capture One, so I will leave this thread open for other forum members to provide their opinions. I hope this helps!

We are continuing the Affinity Photo for iPad Beta - and we need your help!
 
Beta builds for iPad are delivered and coordinated using the Apple TestFlight service - you will need to install the TestFlight app (free) from the store in order to participate.
 
TestFlight imposes limits on how many users can participate in any beta - so we will be operating on a first-come-first-served basis. If you join the beta, but do not proceed to install and use the beta builds, we might throw you out so other users can join.
 
If you choose to receive the beta builds, please send an email to: photoipadbeta@seriflabs.com and include the following:
 
1.) Your forum handle / username.
2.) Your email address.
3.) Which compatible iPad device you own (iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad (2017))
 
Adding users to the beta is a manual process - so please be patient - especially if you apply outside of office hours in the UK.

I've tried to find the fastest possible solution for this one with little success.

Shortcut for color reset would be quite useful and also Cmd + Backspace to instantly fill layer with color. Now you have to go Layer -> New Fill Layer and it's time consuming if you have selected wrong color.

EDIT:

Answering to my own problem: It seems that you can fill the whole layer with white or any color by using command Shift + F5. Yey!

Could i request a shortcut to be added to reset the color swatch back to Black & White like it is in PS. The shortcut for that is D.

Hey MEB, what if I have something locked but I can't find it in the layers panel to unlock it because it's locked and I can't right click on it? Should users always have to go to the layers panel to unlock something. There is an unlock key short but it only works if I have the element selected in the layers panel... if I am going to go to the layers panel to select the element I will just unlock it there
 
There currently is an "ungroup all" ability, why no "unlock all" ability? I really miss this. Or am I not seeing something?
 
Edit: it appears that ungroup all actually only ungroups all groups within a group, not all instances of all groups. Hmm.

Been waiting for a few months for a proper eyedropper tool.. :)

Note that the "bottom line" being referred to is not visible when AD or AP is operated in Separated Mode.

Actually want to be able to sample while working without having to go into the swatches panel to sample the color i want.
 
Say if I'm correcting tones while retouching i could have the brush tool active but then hold Alt/Option and the eyedropper would activate for me to sample the area I want and once the option is released it would go right back to the brush tool.

I have a question. Why are you sharing a photoshop tutorial on an affinity photo forum? Do you even own affinity photo (I doubt it) and if not, what are you lurking here for?

I use Photoshop's Image > Image Size feature all the time, and I must say that the addition of "Image Size" within Affinity Photo's "Resize Document" sheet would be welcomed.  For example, when you change the PPI or dimensions in Photoshop, you see something like this:
 
Image Size: 24.5MB (was 64MB)
 
The key part of that is the "was" part in parenthesis.

Is  there a shortcut key for flow like it is for the Opacity when you press the numbers?
 

Try the White Balance Tool in the develop persona I think that will do what you want

Hitting [Enter] doesn't seem to work for me either.
 
I assume there is a difference between having the mouse on the image (shows the brush size), and having it elsewhere (shows the typical arrow-shape).  Neither scenario makes me able to start using [ and ] to adjust the brush size.

I think that he is saying that no matter what he selects, it doesn't change the UI Tool size.  I have to concur,  When I get into my preferences and change the default UI Size, It doesn't change anything either.  
 
But I'm not going to get all bent out of shape and tell you the program is worthless!  It's simply something that needs to be looked at.

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You have to sign-in in the App Store app with the same Apple ID you have used to buy the program in the Macbook Air.

OK, try this and see if it helps. Open an image in the developer persona and then click the assistant options button the the top of the window (the assistant options change according to the persona you are using). Set Tone Curve setting to take no action. Sometimes this auto stuff can throw things off.

I thought i'd round up a few misc questions with a few answers..
 
 
- Exercise files. Our video tutorials are demonstrating the functionality only so we haven't set out to supply exercise files with them.
You may be interested to know that we're looking at possible online training courses (Designer and Photo) which would be capable of  providing supporting exercise files.
 
- Written documentation. We are in the process of developing a handbook for Designer and Photo. I think Designer will come first.
There are no plans to provide printed material, instead an iBook or PDF will be offered from the affinity.serif.com website.
The dynamic nature of Affinity functionality would be difficult to capture in print form - a printed guide would be out of date very quickly and I think we'd end up with unhappy customers. 
 
- French. No plans for French narration on video tutorial. Of course, you do get French help as part of the app.
