krunberry
I am excited to install Photo and Designer, but before I buy them I want to know how many computers I can install them on. I saw you can download 3 times, I believe, so does that mean I can install on up to three computers?
Staff MEB Posted July 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 12, 2015 Hi krunberry, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Affinity software use the standard Mac App Store license, so you can install it in on two computers for commercial individual use or up to five computers in a home environment. TheCameraGuy
So I purchased the software on my Macbook Air, and then went to my main Mac to download again from the store. It's still showing me a price. Why, and how do I change it. I so want to leave Adobe and their stranglehold on my monthly credit card statement. Staff MEB Posted July 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 16, 2015 Hi Darren, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You have to sign-in in the App Store app with the same Apple ID you have used to buy the program in the Macbook Air. Charook Rostiee
So are you saying I can't buy your software, download it using one computer, and then install it on my main computer which is NOT connected to the Internet (for 'peace-of-mind' reasons)? Staff MEB Posted July 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 16, 2015 Hello Charook Rostiee, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) I'm not sure if it's possible to install a software bought in the Mac Store in other computer without an Internet connection. I will have to check that. But In any case we are in the same position as any software being sold thought the Mac App Store. That's under Apple's control, not ours. coranda
If I remember correctly, you can transfer the software to another computer but the first time you run it you need an internet connection to authorise it. Once that's done you can disconnect from the internet.
